Between Green Bay and Iowa City
Outrights:

Ben Curtis(150/1)(1/4 for 1-2-3-4-5-6) e.w. @ GolfingGods
Link
- - Caught a sound bite from Curtis at Augusta last night in which he said, "this course is just too long." . . . Caught the price I was hoping for with an extra place.

Davis Love(16/1)(1/4 for 1-2-3-4-5-6) e.w. @ GolfingGods

Nick O'Hern(40/1)(1/4 for 1-2-3-4-5-6) e.w. @ GolfingGods
- - An extra place is never a bad thing with good ol' Nick O'Hern.

--------------------------------------------------------

I went back in the archives to confirm what I more or less knew: I would be further ahead if I cut down on the size of my wagers after the Masters - all the way to zero would work in one sense, except that would be a costly long-term mistake in terms of staying on top of news and developments :bigear: and keeping my capping judgment and trigger finger well polished. :dizzy:

The Scorecard (Outrights):

2003: +53.38*(After the Masters); +???*(End of Season - Off the leaderboard = less than 53.63* in 5th place = about 20* as I recall)

2004: +66.37*(After the Masters); +37.84*(End of Season)

2005: +36.95*(After the Masters); +35.42*(End of Season)

2006: +128.63*(After the Masters) . . .

Outright plays (total stake per play: 1.5pts)

Jim Furyk to win 14/1 e.w. @ Stan James, Ladbrokes and BetDirect
Furyk fits the bill perfectly this week. This is often described as a "thinking man's course", this is a course that has over two-thirds of its champions being major winners and only a couple of winners in the past couple of decades had missed the cut at Augusta. In fact, Furyk should be in better shape than most, having been the first person to compete on Saturday and so not have to complete more than 18 holes on Sunday. He was 2nd here two years ago and really should go close to improving that mark this time.

Carl Pettersson to win 66/1 e.w. @ BetInternet and BetFred
Pettersson also made the cut comfortably last week on his debut in the Masters and he has been nothing but impressive on the PGA Tour since winning his first title on this Tour last October. Since that win he has had four further top-10 finishes in ten starts, including 8th in the Players Championship. This week's field is nowhere near as strong and with a 3rd place finish already achieved on this course (2004), he represents good value at these odds.

Greg Owen to win 80/1 e.w. @ BetInternet
Although he achieved two top-5 finishes last year, it has been in the last month that Owen has really caught some attention, infamously for that three-putt when poised to win the Bay Hill Invitational (he finished 2nd), but also for the way that he responded the following week in the Players Championship: he was in the top-10 at the cut. But that was a continuation of his previous form since the Tour left the West Coast - top-20 finishes in both Florida events before Bay Hill - and there is no reason why that shouldn't continue this week. He did finish in the top-20 on his debut here last year, after all.

LIA Interesting on your after Masters tallys. Do you have any thoughts on reason? I know you cap other sports--do you think you spend less time on golf or do you think maybe after initial gains you loosen your restrictions on plays.

1st rd --a few gir props @ WW/HW-all under the total
Other Sports - 400 Chad Campbell/Joe Durant under 23 -125 for Game
Other Sports - 402 Jim Furyk/Geoff Ogilvy under 23 -125 for Game
Other Sports - 404 Scott Verplank/Jose Maria Olazabal under 22? -105 for Game
Other Sports - 406 Briny Baird/Justin Rose under 22? -105 for Game

Would really like these if same weather as last year (20mph winds 1st 3 days) compouded with smallest greens on tour--produced highest field scor ave in history here (73.26)--with only one person-Nick Price averaging 12 girs/rd--
