Villanova has lost 9 of their L10 in Providence at the Civic Center (now called the Dunkin' Donuts Center).

'Nova is 5-3 ATS away while PC is 5-7 ATS at home this season.

Villanova is coming off three tough games in the last 10 days: wins at home vs G'Town (83-72 in OT) and UCLA (58-57) and an ugly road loss at UConn (40-46) when the Wildcats shot only 26% from the field.

Providence didn't play this weekend, and their last game was an 89-79 loss at BC last Wednesday.

Villanova won at home in the first game 76-57 between the two teams back in early January.

Both teams need the game to keep their Big East hopes alive.

My book had the line at PC -3.0 last night and now it's -5.0.

Any thoughts?

Doesn't Nova just feel like the easy side to you??? For some reason it does to me. . . since the line is moving the other way, I'm thinking either Providence or pass. . . I will probably pass!

This game is a toss up as stated above...

This game is a toss up as stated above...

Neither team will likely make it to March Madness without winnng the conference tourney, so it's all about seeding now and since i don't see either winning the conference tourney (although i'm sure both coaches and players think they have a chance) it really boils down to either playing for pride or for the NIT, but given what you just stated above i would be in favor of the home team if forced to play, mainly for the 3 resons you already pointed out, nova record at pro, fatigue and revenge, i can get pro at 4.5, but if i played it i would buy it down to 4, that being said if it hits 4 i'll probabaly play pro, i hope your not as confused as i am:D

as you can tell i personally was not looking at playing this game, but i think your heading in the right direction by considering pro.

Doc --

I wasn't considering PC, I was considering getting out of my play on 'Nova which I made after one too many brews last night.

After hearing a couple of the guys, I just bailed on 'Nova with a small middle at 4:

Villanova +5
PC -3.5 (bought a half point)

Thanks and gl.
