Site problems this weekend

Allow me to offer my sincere apologies for the disturbances to our famously reliable service this weekend. We take full responsibility for the problems, which occurred when one of our clustered database engines failed. Due to the high tech backup system we have in place, no data was lost at any time; however the fail over system did not respond and we were left effectively ?down? while a new database server was built and configured throughout Saturday afternoon. Due to the great efforts of our host providers ? IGW ? we were able to return to business as normal periodically throughout Saturday evening online, whilst still keeping our telephone call center open for telephone wagers and customer contact. Both VIP and IGW staff worked through the night in order to ensure the system was entirely ready for the rush of NFL Sunday ? and we trust you were able to place your wagers then with a minimum of problems.
Once again, I apologize for the outage. We are now up and running, and on Monday we will conduct a full system analysis to determine exactly what went wrong, why, and what we can do to prevent this happening in future. We will not make excuses, and my team and I remain completely determined to continue to provide the service that recently won us the ?Sportsbook of the Year? award from Gambling Online magazine.
