Everyone knows Bobby Bowden's record when he gets multiple weeks to prepare for a team, he usually kicks their ass!. Unless he just totally gave up on the Florida game to prepare for Tech and the BCS payout, he's only gonna get six days to get ready for Tech.
The biggest key to this game will be in the two offensive lines. If FSU can protect their QB there is a good chance for this to be a close game. If Tech's O-line plays the way they did against Miami, their ass will get kicked. I think Tech has the advantange in the running game, and defensive line. IMO the qb's are fairly similar...Vick under pressure is not the man for the job. The receivers & tight ends are fairly equal. Tech's special teams in the four of the last five weeks have been getting closer and closer to their old ways. One blocked field goal against UNC and one tipped punt and two narrow missed punts.
I haven't seen a weather forecast for Sat. night in Jax. Maybe someone else has info. on that.
Tech minus 14 seems a little high at this time. Preliminary bets on sportsbook.com show 91% on Tech to which I never like to lean. I prefer going against John Q. Public. Early lean is to take the 14 points depending on what takes place during the week.
