1 ew Leaney 80/1 Hills.
Good solid course form, despite not being a long hitter...but has added distance with V1x ball, so improvement expected (same could be said of Ernie though!!)...had a rest after trying (and failing) to get into Masters on World Ranking...two steady comeback performances on courses that would not highlight his accuracy..Wentworth will..

Saving on Monty at 16/1...

Clarke 17/1 Centrebet. Great Wentworth form and a good performance last week.

Lawrie 33/1 Paddypower. No reason to abandon Lawrie after yet another top 10 last week.

soft going at Wentworth...I am about 8 miles from course and it has not stopped raining, every 1-2 hours, since Friday...going at local racetrack, Windsor, was good to soft yesterday evening, and it has kept up with the hourly/two hourly downpour since then...

Good news for Lawrie then. Steved, I like your Leaney pick. Haven't backed him myself but have put him up in the comp at the other place. He seems like the kind of player who could win anytime.

Outright plays (1.5 units)

Retief Goosen to win 14/1 e.w. @ SkyBet (6 places)
Missed the cut the last two years, but still the 2nd best player on view this week and in good form as well.

Paul Lawrie to win 28/1 e.w. @ Stan James (30/1 Five Dimes with 1/5 1-2-3-4-5)
Another who hasn't played too well on this course in recent years, but is in excellent form with top-15 finishes in last four big-name events.

Niclas Fasth to win 38/1 e.w. @ Five Dimes
Top-15 in last two years and good form in last two events on return to Europe.

No time for matchup plays this week.

I still say Els wins by 5 strokes.

BTW, I went to place a wager at BET365 and got a message saying that my wager amount ($20) was higher than the limit allowed and I should click on max wager. So I did and the amount it let me bet $3. That's right - 3 f*cking dollars

2nd round update: 2-0-1; +6.00 units

Kjeldsen/Jaidee TIED (Push)
Fasth/Scott WON by 6
Baker/Atwal WON by 1

Mid-point update:

Goosen mc
Lawrie mc
Fasth 2nd

Goosen and Lawrie struggled, but otherwise a good event with Fasth looking in very good form. Good return on the 18-hole plays with the only loss courtesy of a 50-yard holed wedge from the rough by Olly on the final round. Can't legislate against that!

3rd round play (1.5 units):

Ernie Els to beat Darren Clarke -133 @ Five Dimes

Surely this price is too big.I may be bias after poketing a grand on him the other week but is playing with confidence and win will help.
