Vote here for who you think is the better team at this point in the season.....
NOT who will win Sunday (although that may factor in your answer)...
Just who has the stronger team...
Thanks!

Bahama,
I understand what you are saying - every team (except the Rams for the most part) has bad games... The Pack-Falcon game was atrocious - didn't come to play...
I was just curious what folks (other than us, who are obviously biased) felt... Just wanted to get people's general perception...
The bookmakers feel the Packers are stronger, but we both know the the line set is not necessarily a "power rating", it is more of a "public opinion" rating, as the bookmakers just want to try to balance the money on both sides.

On the course!
Better team is clearly the Packers. Better personnel. Better teams don't always win, though.

Better team is the Bears, have a better record. The only thing that matters is the number of wins a team has. Hopefully after Sun, they are both equal.

Bears no contest, they have playmakers on defense, Urlacher, brown, washington, parrish, who does Gb have?? Bears have better defense, and better coaching. Gb is going nowhere with the worst ZONE defense in the league.

Who does Green Bay have? The same guys who beat the bears a short while ago!

Not even a question, THE PACKERS hands down are the better team. I love whoever posted the bears because they have more wins.

So does that mean when the pack beat the bears a few weeks back and beat them again this sunday the bears are the better team because they have more wins?
Give me a break, the bears have one big horseshoe up their ass.
Come from behind game against Cleveland for example.

Green Bay has EVERYTHING they need to win the superbowl, PERIOD. THE BEST QB in the league, when he is focused and actually cares about the game he is unbeatable. He will care come playoffs. THEY HAVE A BIG runstuffer in Gilbert Brown, active Linebackers and Great cornerbacks and depth out the wazoo, throw in KGB with 12 sacks and 1st round pick Jamal Reynolds getting his first action Monday night as well as ROBERT FERGUSON.
A great SPECIAL TEAMS WITH THE MOST EXCITING KICK RETURNER in allen ROSSUM. HE will win at least one game in the playoffs for them. (See Desmond Howard a few years back), lets not forget darren sharper who led the NFL in INT's last year.

DID I FORGET TO MENTION AAAAAAAAAAAAAHMAN Green, top three in the whole league in rushing and can catch now,LOOK OUT.
Freemnan and shroeder proven veterans who can catch the ball anywhere, BUBBA FRANKS with a year under his belt, only 7 TD's ALREADY!!!

NOW LETS look at favres record at home when it is cold out, UNBEATABLE, GREEN bay is going to have home field for at least one game in theplayoffs!! HE DOES NOT GET BEAT THERE IN DECEMBER JANUARY.

You ask the question who do the PACK have?

the bears have urlacher, THAT IS IT! who is a better team, not even a question.

TAMPA WILL CATCH CHICAGO for the wildcard and Green bay will win the division.
Chicago had to pull another horseshoe out of their ass to beat 0-11 Detroit at home

PACK to win superbowl, sure am glad i took them at 50-1 at beginning of year to win 17,000, that is a futures bet i would never sell as I plan to cash it!

good luck to all

pack rule!!
when you ask what do the pack have, they have everything they need to win it all, THAT'S ALL!

It used to be that the Packers used to take Forty-Niner retreads. Now, they take the Bears retreads. Flanigan, the wife-beater on the D-line right next to Thierry. Bears have the better talent, the better coach, just not the quarterback.

I thought it was Paul Grasmanis who beat his wife. Flanigan was a NFL Man of the Year a couple of years ago. Both were former Bear lineman who went to Notre Dame. I think Grasmanis is on Philly now.

Bobby Blue Chip is right the bears have much more talent on the offensive side of the ball. Granted Gb has a better Qb, a 32 year old Favre who struggles against good defenses like Tampa bay, atlanta, bears, Bears in 3 years will have the best tandem of receivers with 6'3 Marcus Robinson, and 6'3 David Terrel, A train is going to be a star in this league, he's big and fast and being from michigan can follow his blocks. Bears have a better offensive line also, and they are really crazy about David Carr from Fresno State, and are trying to trade up to select him this year. Gb receiver Freeman will catch 10 passes one week and then none for 2 weeks, Schroeder is good, but has questionable hands, Gb tight ends are good, but nothing compared to Keith jackson and Chmura. The bears may not be executing at a high level with their offense, but once they get Carr they'll blow Gb out of the stadium.

While I like Marcus Robinson, he has been out for the season since the Cincinnati game. And David Terrell almost cost the Bears the game against the Lions. He's overpaid and overhyped. Now Marty Booker is a tough hard-nosed underrated receiver. But I would still have to take the Freeman-Schroeder duo over Booker-White/Terrell right now. Schroeder hands may look questionable when you try to catch a 100 MPH fastball that Favre can throw. Despite his recent slump, you'd still have to take Ahman Green over either Anthony Thomas or James Allen. The Bears offense isn't as bad as many think; they have a very conservative coordinator who is obsessed with the 2 yd pass.

Being from MN, this whole thread is making me sick, but after Wormdog's comments..........I just PUKED all over my keyboard.

These 2 teams are about equal overall. The difference is Favre, who, when he is on...is the best big game QB in the NFL right now.

This game @ Lambeau

GB 20
CHI 17

Chicago +5.5 is the play.

It's pretty obvious that WORMDOG is an obsessed Packer Fan, to say that Green bay has AWESOME CORNERS is absolutely ridiculous. They have had trouble with the pass since Doug Evans and Craig Newsome left.

The Bears are showing more talent this year but they pull the damndest games off! Green Bay has had a couple of Lucky games this year(MNF)
wink.gif
and pulled one or two others out of there Keester! I believe that Both teams are about as equal as they can be with one difference! BRETT FAVRE!!! That little Turd can ball! I'll give it to old Brett his balls should be bronzed and sent to Canton! I beleive he would go toe to toe with Tyson if he stepped onto the gridiron! So the Question Begs who is the better Team? Hell thats easy! The Pack! but does the best team always produce wins? Of Course Not! But if I was a betting man ( I must be ) I would lay the log on the fire and watch the Bears do it this weekend!

Valuist is right. Grasmanis is the wife-beater, not Flanigan. Very careless post on my part.

Still think that the offensive line of the Bears makes up for the talent difference in running back. Antonio Freeman and Schroeder both wouldn't be on the field in a three receiver set for the Bears (if Robinson wasn't injured).

Obviously my view is slanted, but I believe it is realistic.
