OK, a vote is obviously no longer necessary!

After some good threads and lively discussion, thank goodness the Packers have put this issue to rest - and showed the misguided few that the Packers were by far the better team!

Bears MAY still make a wild card (ok, they will get a wild card), but will be lucky to beat anyone - if you can't score, you can't win!

On the course!
As much of a fan as I am, I am a little more realistic.

The bears have the easier schedule from here on out, and would have to be favored over Green Bay to win the division.

I am hoping the Packers win it, but I would not be brash enough to think they already have it wrapped up.

YYZ,
I'll take a 1 game lead with 4 to go...
Bears will have a tough time the rest of the way... at TB will be a close game, and don't be surprised if they are the 1st team to lose to the Lions this year when they go to Detroit....

They don't have a one game lead, Mags.....they have a lead in the tie breaker. Big difference.

Pack may drop two and end at 11/5. Bears schedule sets up nice for a 12/4. I still think GB the better team this year. Bears are coming fast and maybe starting next year. There weekness is Def back field and QB. Once fixed look out. Believe the QB from NEng may be there next year. And like I said before. Young team that must hang togeather through free agency. We shall see.

Congrats on the sweep, Packer Backers. Thought the game was ours when it was tied and the Pack was starting from their own end. . . and then 94 yards later . . . ballgame.

Green Bay - @ Tennessee, Cleveland, Minnesota, @ Giants

Chicago - Tampa Bay, @ Washington, @ Detroit, Jacksonville

YYZ,
The one game lead I was referring to WAS the tiebreaker....which amounts to a one game lead (with the Bears "owning" the tiebreaker if they finish with more wins than the Pack)

My guess the rest of the way:
Bears = TB (L), at Wash (W), at Det (L), Jacksonville (W) - finish at 11-5

Packers = at TN (L), Clev (W), Min (W), at NYG (L) - finish at 11-5

Packers win the Division.... The Bears/TB game this Sunday has a good chance of having less than 14 total points scored in the game (guess who is playing the under?!?)

As a Bears fan, I'm envisioning this nightmare:

1. Become the first team to lose outright to Tampa Bay in under 40 degree weather

2. Become the first team to lose to Detroit this season.

I hate to say it, but neither would shock me and both will be seeking revenge for their 3 pt losses earlier in the year. Sounds like the team is divided right now.

Wormdog,

Address the forum.

My promise remains unchanged. I will bring that thread up to the top as soon as the Packers get their victory in the Super Bowl this year. Congrats on your teams victory.

Poor Worm.......I like the spirit, though.

Mags, once again, the "tie breaker" does not ammount to a 1 game lead.

Let's suppose from here on out, that the Packers finish one game behind the bears. If they were "one game up" right now, they would be tied at season's end.

That is not the case, so the Pack is clearly not "one game up". The only bennefit the Packers have, is if the two teams are dead even at season's end.

I know what you are trying to say, and that is that the bears need to win one more game than Green Bay. I just want to see another bear loss and a Packer win real soon!
