Early lines have Tech favored by 6.5 with the over at 41.

Tech/Miami 2004 16-10 Tech day game
Tech/Miami 2003 31-7 Tech night game
Tech/Miami 2002 45/56 Miami day game
Tech/Miami 2001 24/26 Miami day game
Tech/Miami 2000 21/41 Miami day game
Tech/Miami 1999 43/10 Tech night game
Tech/Miami 1998 27/20 Tech in OT night game
Tech/Miami 1997 27/25 Tech night game
Tech/Miami 1996 21/7 Tech night game
Tech/Miami 1995 13/7 Tech day game

The weather forecast for Saturday is clear & around 60 at kick off and into mid 50's for the game.

Expect a lot of punts in this game 8-10 each team. Both defenses are almost identical to last years teams.

Best play should be under 41. The only glitch with this bet is both special teams could post scores in the blink of an eye...Hester & Royal could have the majority of the scores off of punt returns.

you're observant and thank you for the yearly stats..the system i have is low scoring.

this game won't see 35 total points...beamer will be tighter then a tick on a dogs ass with his play calls

under is the play

Thanks for the info. Thought you made an excellent point about special teams. I think if V-Tech wins they should be ranked #2. Good luck to your Hokies!

Keep this in mind:

In the past 5 years, Miami has been an underdog only 4 times, this being the fifth. The others were @ UF in 2002 (+2), @ FSU in '03 (+7), vs FSU in the 2004 Orange Bowl (+1.5) and 2004 @ Virgina (+3). The Canes won all those games outright. This is the type of game Miami has always thrived in, backs to the wall, us against the world...

Canes 17-Hokies 13

Just my opinion :)

I doubled checked Mav...
They last played Pitt in 2003...

MIAMI 28 at PITT 14 Saturday 11/29/2003 Week 15 W -3 U 47

Then again in 2002...

PITT 21 at MIAMI 28 Thursday 11/21/2002 Week 1 L -19.5 U 49.5

Here is the 2001 game..

MIAMI 43 at PITT 21 Thursday 09/27/2001 Week 1 L -27.5 O 52

Here is the 2000 season...

PITT 7 at MIAMI 35 Saturday 11/11/2000 Week 1 W -21.5 N

The Canes were favored in all 4 games.

There are to be 20 five star and four star recruits at this game tomarrow night. There will be a lot of distractions including fireworks, cannon fire and rockin music playing. The north endzone is to be the maroon affect in the student section with everyone dressed in maroon. Emotions will be out of control, look for a couple of early mistakes probably on both sides. Because of this I think the better play will be the over 41 instead of my earier pick of under.

I've seen these two teams play each other live eight times including 1999 when Miami jumped out to a 10 point lead before Tech rolled up 43 unanswered. Take Tech -6.5 and the over.

Good luck to all and I'll see you in Blacksburg tomarrow night!

Fishy line. Still at 6.5 despite 70% action on VT. I understand that the books want to keep that hook over the miami backers, but when do ya let it go?? I was pretty sure tech would win by around 10-14 but seeing that line stationary is makin me wonder. Also, for the love of god, somebody bet Tennessee on the money line. SB has only 13% of money line bets in that game on the Vols. The play is usually against the grain, takin the dog in ND games anyhow, I would think people would be loadin up on that +300. We're talkin about a team that some experts picked to win it all, and still has some incredible athletes, particularly on defense. the new offensive scheme might be just what the doctor ordered for Tennessee, dont underestimate them tomorrow
