Outright plays (1 unit):

Davis Love to win 11/1 e.w. @ Five Dimes and UKBetting
Coasted over the weekend when he it looked like was too far back to challenge Verplank which only shows how much his ambition has been raised this year. He is a three-time winner in 2003 and now truly believes he can win week-in, week-out. As with the rest of the field, he has no course form, but he was born in the Charlotte area and so can count on strong support and a warm welcome to his home town.

Chris DiMarco to finish in the top-five 7/1 @ Five Dimes
Generally 28/1 at best elsewhere, so will gladly take Five Dimes' odds. Completed his third top-10 finish in five starts at English Turn last week and looks to be in good form with a game that is suited to a shotmaker's course. He has won in each of the last five years, but they have not been against the strongest of fields and he is not the best front-runner. Will take the place-only odds when available with DiMarco.

Stuart Appleby to finish in the top-five 10/1 @ Five Dimes, SkyBet and Boyle
In very good form having finished 2nd in the Houston Open two weeks ago and right in contention after a third round 63 last week. He will have been very frustrated to have shot over-par on Sunday, particularly after Verplank came back to the field, but following up such a low is very difficult. Taking the place-only option with Appleby as he has not win on the PGA Tour since 1999 but has finished in the top-5 in 6 events in the last year.

Matchup plays (1 unit):

Duffy Waldorf to beat John Daly -111 @ BetandWin
Looking to oppose two players here whenever I can. Daly had the beating of Mattiace in last week's matchup play until he took a 9 on a par-5 and soon withdrew. Waldorf won't win this week, but with five cuts made in six events and four of them being top-25 then he should be there at the weekend and that will be enough.

Luke Donald to beat David Duval -111 @ BetandWin
Donald's form has slumped a little in the past two months, particularly in 2nd round performances, but he did have three top-20 finishes at the start of the year and did make his last cut in the Heritage. Duval hasn't made a cut since February or broken par in twelve rounds. Just a question of how hard Donald tries.

WOW I sure do miss Bet & Win :(. They got about 2 more I fancy also.

Bunch of cloned matchups this week on virgin course and all 3 plays so far are (ties lose) scenerio. Not liking that!
adding @ SIA
Sluman -111 over Maggert
Perry -111 over Sutherland

Basically the better player at decent odds.--and can't find much initially at my outs.

adding 72 holes @ Boyles
Price -111 over Choi
ditto on above

Since virgin course will flirt with one outright till can take at gander at this layout, may have one or 2 in running but doesn't look promising with Olys line adjustments past 2 weeks.

Herron20/1 to place top 5 @ Oly
Most generous odds considering only 5 players have more top 5's on tour (3 in 11 events)
Current form not that big a factor as 2 of his top5's were preceded by 48 and 56 finishes. I'll give him a look.

Don't get much time to post my usual rubbish spoutings but - have to disagree on Kuehne DTB and I think the 100/1 at Oly for a player who seems to have banished the demons and had a 2nd and 3rd in his last 3 outings is massive - if the course plays long I really do think he will be up there - cue egg!

Wouldn't argue that point with you Ian. I like your wager and might stop by there and have a taste myself. He could easily be one of those once the pressure is off plays looser and better.

Adding (1 unit):

Loren Roberts to beat Arron Oberholser -111 @ BetandWin
He doesn't look a likely winner, but Roberts has yet to miss a cut all season and has never finished behind Oberholser in an event. Enough for me.

Really scratching around for plays this week and can't find any more that I like. No 1st round plays either, though I haven't been able to get into Moneyplays all evening.

Can't get into $plays either Stan. Their and 5dimes software has been suspect last couple of weeks.Have to bet outrights @ 5dimes at home with cable modem and it just about times out.

1st rd
Flesch -115 over Rollins (-1/2 stroke) @ Wsex
Not really like backing someone coming off such a long anticipated win but will take a look anyway.

Haas -105 over Choi @ Cascade
Not a lot of supporting stats here, just feel Haas is playing better at this time and has had weeks rest.

Flesch/Rollins win
Haas/Choi push

2nd rd
Haas -105 over Choi @ $plays
Gonna give him another shot today.Lead throughout yesterday till 2 shot swing on last 2 holes
Singh -120 over Dimarco @ $plays
Agree with Stan.Singh in poor frame of mind yesterday after incurring 2 shot penaty for "stupidly" clearing green with his towel.
Dimarco -110 over Kelly (- 1/2 stroke) @ Wsex
Kelly will have to play with new putter today as he gave the one he was "trying" to use yesterday to child at greenside. Also a little insurance in case D throws in good one against Singh.
Campbell +105 over Ames (-1/2 stroke) @ Wsex
Campbell was 2 in driv ave and 2nd in GIR'S yesterday, any improvement on putting should cover this.

Lost in America I owe ya bud. Saw your 3ball yesterday @ 365 and stopped by to check em out. Hit this little parlay on em and throwing a 6 man at em today of VJ-Funk-Tripp-Camp-Flesch-Toms

Hope Oly goes back to lines prior in running as there are a couple I fancy sitting around par currently. Think with a little wind and greens firming up this weekend we could have some contenders from a bit off the pace. Will take alook in early am.

Oly put lines up early so got a few outrights to place top 4
Weir 5/1
Love 7.5/1
Singh10/1
Campbell 10/1

Look for the projected winds and firm fairways and greens to give the shot makers plenty of room to come back.
Weir a bit short on odds but is driving it great,Love and Singh always capable and with exception of putting Chad is putting up some of best stats out there.

oly 72 hole cont
Toms -120 over Howell currently tied.

2nd round update: 1-2-1; -2.40 units

Appleby/Cink LOST by 4
Pernice/Austin WON by 4
Singh/DiMarco TIED (Push)
Kaye/Gamez LOST by 8

Mid-point update:

Waldorf/Daly WON by 7
Donald/Daly WON by 4
Roberts/Oberholser WON by 1

Love 56th
DiMarco 21st
Appleby mc

Had struggled to find any matchups I liked for this event so pleasing to have found three that were decided at the cut. They will at least cover the frustrating outrights. Love and Appleby had been in the top-20 when they stood on the 16th tee - they both played three ugly holes. It is a tight leaderboard so there is still hope yet ... until the 16th hole again!

3rd round plays (1 unit):

Tim Petrovic to beat Jeff Brehaut -115 @ Five Dimes
David Gossett to beat J.J. Henry -125 @ Five Dimes
J.P. Hayes to beat Paul Goydos -115 @ Five Dimes
Kenny Perry to beat Kirk Triplett -110 @ Sirbet (-115 @ Moneyplays)

:) Saw your 1st picks Stan before your additions and was wondering if you didn't like Gamez over Goydos.

3rd rd
Gamez +115 over Goydos @ $plays
HUGE edge in driving-Gir and putting stats and full stroke in 3rd rd scor ave ranking 13th and a +115 dog:confused:

Weir -140 over Lonard
Agree with Stan not too much cheese as this course gets tougher and cream should rise to top.

Geiberger -111 over Gore @ SIA (ties lose)
I like Brent on this course and if good place wager odds could have been found I would have bit. Gore does 3rd rd scor adv but only made it there 3 times and with venues he played deem these stats tainted somewhat.

Totally out of character with so many outrights in 1 event but SB just adjusted E/W odds on Faxon from 33/1 to 40/1 and considering he was in top 5 3 of 21 in 2002 and 2 of 10 this year and currently in contention at -3 I have to give him a look also.
