First off, I love midwest football and the Mac. Go Rockets!!
The thing that stands out in this game is the QB position as Wake retuns MacPherson who supplied the passing yardage, 1555 yds last year. His backup is now a starting WR(Anthony Young) who was a option style QB. Good mobility. Wake, like NI also has a 1000 yard rusher retuning in (Terrance Williams). The 3 returners in the o-line. 5 of the 6 D-linmen return, the linebackers seem a little weaker as they must replace the leading tackler at MLB.
In the secondary all 4 are back.
If either team needed to make a big play, I feel Wake may be a little more capable.
For 1 unit I'll take Wake.
I believe if I'm not mistaken N.Ill QB was an option style QB in H.S.(Joe Stamm) They also bring in a juco transfer in Ryan Gilbert. Last year the backup was Josh Haldi and he only attempted 7 passes.
College Football Rules :Yep:
I also like BYU, and Miami Redhawks which I will try to post shortly.
