that last play (hailmary)might have been a td..was close,rember in the endzone it becomes catch as soon as your 2 feet touch with possesion..he lost that ball after he made the catch ,i think.

actually, your understanding of the nfl rule is incorrect. you have to possess the ball all the way to the ground even in the endzone (in the nfl). that was not a td.

I don't want to argue with you, but that is completely incorrect. All you have to do is pass the plane/plain (sp) of the endzone and it's a score. It's why everyone extends their arms at the end of the run near the endzone.

i think your right,,guys lose possesion of the ball all the time as soon as they cross the plain,and its always a td.,but maybe its diffrent when catching in the endzone

reaching out to cross the plane (not plain) is a separate issue as you have possession of the ball as you are doing it.

by nfl rules, you do not have possession until you control the ball TO THE GROUND in any part of the field, including the end zone. this is a somewhat new rule and has come in play on several occasions this season where the ground caused a bobble or dislodged the ball despite the feet in.
