I know for a fact when this individual(s) is caught, he will get the death penalty. But if it were up to you, what type of death would you propose on him?

Not to discount your topic, but my question would be how in the hell do you attempt to catch or lay a trap for this type of madman?

Meanwhile, people are starting to freak out. Its unbelievable. You are more likely to get hit by lightning going to your car on a sunny day than get hit by a sniper, but people in this area look for any reason to fly into panic mode. Being from Maryland, this shit is spooky. only because you hear people at work, saying they are afraid to pump gas!! Bowie (where there was a shooting) is REAL close by here. people are being TOO freakin spooked. Like Ace said, the odds are better you either hit the lottery or get struck by lightning!!!!

Heard someone say at work (Beltsville, MD) that they were afraid to sit outside on their 1/2 hour lunch!!! Come on now!!!!:shrug:

I am following this case very closely and one thing I have noticed that is common in all shootings is that the locations took place in areas surrounded by trees ( forest, hills with dense bush). The problem is that within a 50 mile radius of all shootings, most of the landscape has its locations of dense trees on hilltops, a prime location for a sniper to take cover.

This guy knows what he is doing. Just found out that an expert (geographic profiler) from Vancouver Canada has been hired by the Montgomery Police dept to determine where this individual lives. In a high profile case in Canada several years ago(Bernardo Trial), he pinpointed the murderer's residence within a 2 block radius, several days later they caught him.

This guy is a psycho that is for sure....

Hopefully he is caught soon

Witnesses say there were TWO guys in the van.I ask you,what serial murderer has ever had a driver?Two guys,though only one triggerman.Usually its one nut working alone,who's so deranged they can't resist killing more than one person once they get started.Today at last there were witnesses who actually gave descriptions of the men driving the white chevy astro,which supposedly swiped another car on the getaway.I really hope they get caught soon and I sincerely hope they are not Al-Qaida.

yep.....i agree edludes.....suspicions were terrorism for me at first.....then i thought about it and thought it might be some nut....but i also was thinking about that -- there is very little chance two americans are doing this.....

most insane people do not have good enough friends to do this with....first you need two insane people.....second you need them to know each other....third they need to have some sort of loyalty to each other to go at it this long......especially with the lag time in between the killings

Hasn't been proven yet that the white van had anything to do with the shootings.

It's possible that people have heard other reports of white vans and when they heard the shots, they looked at the street and there was a white van and said that must be the van I've heard about.

White vans are extremely popular. If anyone watched the coverage yesterday of the roadblock on I95, that point was driven home very hard. At times they had 6 or so white vans stopped at once... :shrug:

Just hope they catch the bastard(s) and power up Old Sparky!
Doubt they will be taken alive though!

I live within 10 miles of two (of the last 4) shootings. I have to say, it's definitely on my mind! Local business are suffering because people are staying home. It's become unsafe to perform even the most mundane activities like shopping, cutting the grass and filling the tank. We've been advised to walk in a zigzag when crossing parking lots. Can you imagine?

I find myself more angry than fearful, tho, just wanting this bastard to be caught and for life to return to some sort of normalcy. As for his/her/their punishment when caught..... I think public stoning would work!
