Spain will Reign over les Blues tomorrow hippdog

Huge blow to ghana w/ their field general Michael Essien out due to suspension.

IMO tho, Brazil has also taken a huge blow in losing Robinho for the match. He has played in every game and has really sparked the team when being subbed in for games 1 and 2 and was all over the field in starting game 3. Adriano has not been able to create the space for ronaldo to thrive in quite the same way that robinho has, with his lightning quick, fiesty style of play.

I looked hard for a reason to back the Ghanaians tomorrow, but most likely will not. Essien is just too big a loss. I probably would not have hesitated to back Ghana if they were at full strength. I cannot say enough how important his experience (chelsea) and skill mean to this team.

That being said, Ghana is an extremely confident team and don't seem to be intimidated by the Brazilians. It is also rather likely that Brazil could overlook the Africans early and if ghana can get an early strike, then who knows right? Ghana will be letting the shots fly from all over the field whenever they see an opening and I expect them to be very aggressive offensively.

You may be surprised to hear that on the younger national teams that these countries have (not the senior team), they have met 6 times splitting the results 3-3. Including Ghana winning the last time they played in 2001. On that team were 8 players that currently play for the Ghanaian senior team. That should definitley help them with not being overwhelmed by their opponent.

now you know that the world public thinks the brazilians will roll. more so than any other matchup. I mean, Brazil is ranked #1 in the world and Ghana is ranked #48. That is slightly attractive for a play on ghana for sure. But undoubtedly, Brazil certainly has the talent to destroy anyone at anytime.

So, with all that being said, my handicapp on this game is yet completed. just wanted to share my thoughts.

One thing I do know is that ghana are a dangerous team for brazil, they are inspired by the idea of playing for all of Africa, and they have nothing to lose.
