Tropical storm / hurricane Michelle is headed from Cuba toward Fla.

It shouldnt be bad enough to cancel the game, but if you want the under, go now.

Of course, check the weather report incase of a shift or delay in the path.

Just like the 'mudbowl' a couple of weeks ago;N.O. vs. Carolina Went over by about 20 points..
I RARELY feel the weather is a reason to bet a game..
Just my thoughts, good luck if you play the weather...Spanky...

I should have rephrased the statement:

If you are looking at the under in the game, it might be best to get it now. If you want the over, it would be best to wait til game time.

If you feel weather is worthless, ignore this article.

As of Fri 5PM (PT) the O/U line is down to 33.5 and falling (like the barometer).

So while EVERYONE is JUMPING on the under,I'll DIVE to the OVER ,as after years of mis-information, we learn about 'traps' such as this..

Curious Spanky, what number do you play on the over and how many units?

Interested in this game also.

Thanks in advance!

Wolf, My number right now is 34.
I handicap different when people think sloppy play will be an automatic UNDER.. I figure there will be plenty of turnovers that will in turn lead to scores.
Human nature makes people think UNDER,but I find the value to be just the opposite.
Hope you understand what I mean,if you think about it and have a good memory and think back as far as you can,I think you shall see my point.
Good luck with your plays...Spanky...

I very seldom use rain in determining an O/U.
The only weather I am interested in is heavy snow/bitter cold and high winds (over 28-30 mph)

This game MAY fall into the high winds catagory.

Well, as usual, when the line drops as far as it has (down 4 points) the weather is almost always going to be the opposite.

That is going to be true here also. The winds are going to be in the 15 mph range and some sun.

As I said earlier, the idea is to get the number early (36.5-37) and try to middle on game day (32.5-33). Middleing 33-37 can be profitable.

The advantage is these teams may only score 30 points on a good day. An extra 1 or 2 field goals or a TD will fit right in.

4Bubba you are so right. This one can be a nice middle for those who moved fast. And I was one that did not. However they leave it at 33.5 and there is a little dampness. I may have to play this over. Couple miss/ups and your there.

SOUTH FLORIDA HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL 449 PM EST SAT NOV 3 2001

HURRICANE MICHELLE CONTINUES TO MOVE SLOWLY NORTH ALONG THE NORTHWEST CARIBBEAN SEA. UNDER THE CURRENT NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER FORECAST TRACK...MICHELLE WILL MOVE ACROSS CUBA LATE SUNDAY NIGHT AND INTO THE FLORIDA STRAITS DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS ON MONDAY. IF THIS FORECAST VERIFIES...TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO AFFECT THE COASTAL WATERS OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA...JUST TO THE NORTH OF FLORIDA BAY...LATE SUNDAY NIGHT SPREADING EAST INTO PORTIONS OF MAINLAND MONROE AND MIAMI DADE COUNTIES DURING THE MORNING HOURS ON MONDAY AND THEN INTO THE ATLANTIC MONDAY MORNING...MOVING NORTHEAST OF THE AREA LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON.

UNDER THE CURRENT FORECAST TRACK...ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES...ASSOCIATED WITH THE OUTER RAIN BANDS AND THE STRONG ONSHORE FLOW FROM THE ATLANTIC...ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH MONDAY MAINLY ACROSS PORTIONS OF BROWARD AND MIAMI DADE COUNTIES. SOME LOCAL AMOUNTS COULD POTENTIALLY BE AS HIGH AS 3 TO 6 INCHES IN SOME AREAS.

IT IS IMPORTANT AT THIS POINT TO KEEP IN MIND THAT THERE ARE UNCERTAINTIES IN THE FORECAST TRACK. ANY DEVIATION OF THE TRACK TO THE LEFT WILL INCREASE THE WIND AND RAINFALL THREATS MENTIONED ABOVE ASSOCIATED WITH MICHELLE. ALSO...DUE TO THE POSITION OF A STRONG HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM TO THE NORTH OF THE AREA STRONGER WIND THAN THOSE MENTIONED ABOVE MIGHT MOVE INTO THE AREA SOONER THAN EXPECTED DUE TO THE STRONG PRESSURE GRADIENT AND NOT NECESSARILY MICHELLE.

On the course!
The rain doesn't bother me, but that wind cost me plenty today in the Miami game.

Since passing isn't going to be the order of the day, anyway.....I don't see it as that much of a factor.

what do you mean passing isn't going to be the order of the day? that's the only way, if any, Carolina can move the ball.

I like Mia, but 25-35 mile winds will hurt them as well

I have been caught in the rainy weather take the under calls before. However with the gusty wind and rain which should call for mostly a running game, you have to look at the team with the better running game. Which is Miami. With the bad weather you can't predict how many defensive players slip and fall in bad weather. Actually I believe that bad weather helps the offense because they know where they are going and can make cuts.
I might have taken the under if I had gotten on it early in the week, but didn't so my call is MIAMI-9.5

Good luck to all

EXTREME WINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right now (SUN morning)

40 mph winds (and rising) lasting all game.

No team in their right mind would set up a game plan with any passing at all.

It would seem the game plans with this kind of wind would be toward a total run game and field position.
With a 40 mph wind, unless its at your back, would even prevent field goals.

henderson,nv.
it also effects the snap and the drop on punted balls watch when a punter drops the ball it can move a inch or two which makes it very hard to hit it clean, this is a game to stay away from.
