speaking for the upper midwest, this has been a wicked and weird year. Winter was brutally COLD (gas prices made it even seem colder probably) $ SNOWY...... normally a really cold winter isn't snow filled, but this one had both (poor people south of hear when it melted.) Not sure if spring existed until summer. early in May, we had 2 days of 97 degrees, and i've never known it to get that hot that early up here. thought summer was gonna start early, and no spring would exist.....WELL, then it decides to turn back to practically winter instead. until about 3 weeks ago, it remained QUITE cold, and seemed to rain constantly (which is about the only normal spring part about it) In May, i had to mow my lawn 3 times in 2 weeks! Now summer decides to hit...I'm wondering if i'll be able to turn my Air Conditioning off before September...(supposed to be in the 90's and humid all next week, too

) when i got home from vacation last week, mowed the lawn, and it hasn't grown a bit since then. don't know how long it's been since it's rained, and everything is brown and done growing (i look at the *done growing* part as a plus as far as the yard goes, cuz it isn't like i live in a neighborhood area, where you water and groom to keep it looking nice, i live where i chop it down every once in a while in order to be able to walk thru it

so what different weather extremes have you had in the other parts of the country this year. (besides Reds and DJV getting all of our snow melt and spring rains)

Mama no rain in La Crosse now for 22 days. It seems to stay up north closer to you. We went from wet to dry. And yes next 4 days they say 92 to 95 and no rain. Was cutting grass every 5 days for a month. Now every other week. Be nice to just have some normal weather. stay cool!

Sounds like you guys don't know whether to wear Bermuda shorts or an overcoat!

Living in Pittsburgh, I know the feeling...however, the summer here this year has been marvelous...high 70's, low 80's.

For the time being, all is well, the citizenry seems happy and Mother Nature is Pittsburgh's best friend.

Go Steelers...Hammer Green Bay !
