On the course!
It's bone-chilling weather up here! We're looking at 50 Below Zero with the wind chill tonight.

Schools are closed, colleges are closed, all for the safety of people. Yet, the games go on!

EVERYONE can brave the weather to cheer the team on!

Our schools and government across Metro Atlanta were closed last night in anticipation for today's expected snow and Kroger and Winn-Dixie sold out of food staples yesterday...............

We all wake up to nothing but 45-50 degree temps that fell throughout the day to current 30 degrees. No snow, no ice, nothing. But free day for all kids and government workers of course.:142smilie:142smilie:142smilie

-50 we could not fathom

Schools Superintendent Ben Mainka and Principal Jim Kitchen appeared in a video this week to announce a snow day in a unique way.

What do you do to keep your pipes from freezing?
Do you heat with oil or gas?
Curious.

Only 5 below here this morning so not too bad. Everything open and business as usual.

Morris I know you're in Albany area. I'm down on Long Island.
We heat with oil here. Are you gas or oil upstate?

Same question to you, how do you keep pipes from freezing?
If you heat with oil and lose power......shits creek without a paddle

Above the Clouds....
I'm about a half hour north of Albany.
Gas heat here and never had a problem. The cellar isn't heated but the furnace and hot water heater are down there and throw enough heat to keep the pipes from freezing.
Wind chill 30 below tonite.

Headed for -55 tonight. No school this week yet as the 8 inches of new snow Monday did the trick then and they?ve already canceled school tomorrow.
Forecast is for 45 and rain by Saturday... only a 100 degree swing in a matter of 72 hours or so...:scared
