Wow, now I know I've been too busy. I didn't even know this was on tonight. I'll have to look and see if I like anyone enough to waste some money on them.

I just wasn't sure if anyone was interested in this event.. I feel like the line is more than generous towards Bryan Baker -- a guy who has gone 6-0 who shouldn't feel threatened by Chael Sonnen's power in my opinion. I think it will mostly be a ground and pound battle with the only possibility of submission coming from Baker, a judo black belt.

I agree with u on the Larson/Alessio fight, but I feel like they may squeeze it in during the telecast.. maybe their rationale is that both fighters did lose to champion Carlos Condit recently  I feel like Larson will dominate, but am making no plays on it b/c I haven't seen enough of him.

Stann vs. Marshall should be a good one. :0corn

the wec has improved quite a bit recently with champs like faber/condit/filho and miguel torres.......

i personally think that marshall being one of their champs is a bit of a stain on the organization and that they`d love for stann to k.o. marshall...stann has some publicity value being a good looking ex-marine but he seems to be very one dimensional(a striker).....

imo,after seeing both,stann should be a slight fave,but,i ain`t layin` those odds....

maybe parlay stann with larson at a little better than even money just to have a little action.....

glad you started the thread,raw.....

c`mon layin`....don`t be coy...jump on in...

I couldnt be more disappointed in that pick, gardenweasel..... I am very sorry. I thought it was only Paulo Filho who couldnt defend a double leg takedown. Baker was a disgrace to the other judo black belts and all-american wrestlers around the country. :bsflag .....i cant believe thats all it takes to hold both of those accomplishments.

hey,at almost 3-1,why not.....it didn`t cost very much to take the shot...what was disappointing was the fact that baker kept making the same mistake time after time...he must have a learning disability....after getting taken down twice in the 1st round after throwing wild, wide punches, baker kept doing the same thing...sonnen just went underneath and kept taking him down....i don`t think sonnen threw one punch standing..he didn`t have to....

it didn`t sink in...and on the last take down,he compounded the mistake by trying a side kick to sonnen`s ribs.....

?????...i guess you can`t handicap stupid,raw.... ...not your fault.....

did hit the parlay...looked like i got lucky with a d.q. and stann just happened to land the 1st clean haymaker.....you coulda` flipped a coin in that last fight...

gambling is a humbling experience....lol

well,we can do it again saturday night with elite xc.......

we can throw some more stuff up on the wall and hope some of it sticks....i do know i`m parlaying shamrock with something...i`m not sold on cung fu....this ain`t the bum-of-the month club he`s been used to seeing...those pretty kicks and flashy moves might be a little more difficult vs a seasoned top drawer pro like shamrock(frank, not ken:SIB ).....

maybe they can hook baker up with ken shamrock....i`d rather debate whether toilet paper should be installed with the paper hanging down inside or outside the roll than watch that mess...

Dude, i completely agree with you.. it just baffled me. And most guys try to test themselves by standing for at least a couple minutes, but not sonnen.. he clearly had the higher IQ.

I cant wait for Saturday to help erase these bouts from my memory. I just cant read these WEC guys at all.. Sonnen just looked like he was on a mission tonight.

I do like Cung Le on Saturday, but certainly wouldnt press anyone to agree with me as his opponents in MMA have been less than stellar... He actually DOES have takedown defense and his kicks are lethal.. Ive kept an eye on him since his kickboxing days and thought he would do well in MMA. Le's takedowns are incredible and alot of them end with him still on his feet. We need to get a UFC Fight Night thread started up as well... id like to hear some opinions on that one..

Im glad u had that parlay goin' for ya.. let me ask you.. do you have a favorite website to place parlays on these events?? Thanks man. :SIB

Wow, I'm glad I steered clear last night.

I'll be heavy on Frank sat night depending on the line. I don't see how Cung can hang with him.(saying that with someone with Cung's level of striking is fighting they always have a chance).

I'm looking at two of the other fights as well, just waiting on some lines so I can see what the difference is.
