Urijah Faber -270 - $2700 to win $1000

been on a pretty good roll and hoping to continue it on the fight sunday. i try to not lay chalk in MMA bets but lately the matchups have been to good to pass up. I hit dime plays on machida and penn on saturday which are documented on my website but i also wanted to start posting my plays here because it seems like there are also people here that know their shit just like at my site.

i really just can't see pulver winning here unless he gets lucky with one shot. faber should be in incredible shape for this fight and he has been training with penn in hawaii. his ground game is incredible and he gets off shots in full guard on opponents that are almost impossible. i think the training with penn is a huge bonus as he has fought jens twice and just beat him not to long ago.

i would love to hear everyone else thoughts. again i hate laying chalk but sometimes the matchups dictate it like last saturday at UFC 84.

"the bunker"
puncher`s chance......otherwise,looks all faber to me,too....

of course,i`m to much of a coward to lay that wood....

there is the fact that pulver`s supposedly never lost at 145....but,i agree...

mma`s funny as far as laying long odds...it`s nothing like boxing...with those lil` glubs they wear, laying heavy wood scares the bejesus outta me.....

that`s just me...

i`ll have faber in a par somewhere down the line...

god bless 5 dimes:00x11 ...

Whoa, I TOTALLY misread the title. I thought you were betting "34 Dimes" on the WEC. Yowza

I lost my ass a little over a year ago on betting 27 dimes on GSP over Serra in the first fight. I will never lay that much on any MMA match ever again, lol.

Anyways, Im not sold on Faber yet. This looks like an even fight IMO and i think if Pulver is a 2-1 dog i might lay a few bucks on him.

Well, its funny now. At the time I coulda used the suicide hotline to talk to someone (not really but I felt like complete shit)

Anyways, I made it all back in October on NFL so I can laugh about it a little easier. Very tough loss though.

hehe, yeah. You kinda gotta laugh and learn from these things.

As far as checking out my picks from NFL this season (if there are any).... well, I would advise against that. I rode the New England gravy train early and a few other choice games (usually Indy too). I got off after I lost a huge chunk on the NE/Philly game and the Indy/SD first game. i was still way up at that point and simply decided I "had fun, gotta run".

I try to stick to Boxing first and MMA second. Fighting is much more predictable than team sports.

I love this forum and check daily

Faber got CRUSHED by Griffin not too long ago and I can see Pulver doing a number on him. Pulver isnt what he used to be but I dont think he's been relegated to journeyman just yet.

He has new life at 145 and I think it will be a close fight. Not confident he'll win but I'm not too sure about Faber either. I wouldnt wager on either at even money but at +200 i think Pulver is a decent bet (I'll probably bet 10$ or so just for fun)
