With so many series nearing completion, I find it harder and harder to handicap those games. It seems that in order to be succesful on those games you almost have to turn into a psychologist and figure out what both teams are thinking. I.E. is the team that is up 3-0 already thinking about the next round or do they have a real sense of urgency to close the series out and get some rest? On the converse side, does the team that is down 3-0 throw in the towel and hit the links or do they try to make a real statement and claw their way back in the series? For me, these games turn into no plays.

When I look at a 2-1 series I see some real possibilities to cash in. That is the case with the LA Kings tonight. I see multiple reasons why a play on LA is warranted.

1) They are at home (Detroit is a tough place to play)
2) They are healthy (Detroit is still w/o Yzerman and Shanahan)
3) They are still in this series and definitely need this game
4) They are coming off a confidence boosting win last time out and have the momentum in their favor
5) When you add all of those reasons together and still give me +145, I'll gladly take it

My only play of the night is LA Kings +145 to even up the series

GL out there tonight
