UAB -5.5 over Mid Tenn ****
UAB have won 4 in a row and are in 1st place in Conf USA...they just beat in conf games North Texas,UTSA,UTEP and Rice...MT has just lost to North Texas 70-53 Saturday nite..they shot 6-23 from the 3,had 20 turnovers and only Scurry scored in double figures...they had 20 turnovers..there defense was worse giving North Texas open uncontested 3's all game...NT shot 4-23 from the 3 and still beat MT by 70-53 and NT emptied its bench at the end...only 2 days before that UAB beat North Texas in Denton and won 52-49...I know you can't use that as a barometer but it does tell you something..MT has trouble on defense and bigger trouble on offense..UAB's strength is defense only giving up 66 pts a game..UAB plays better defense,rebounds better and has a few scorers ..MT has 6 players with 75,37,55,27,57 and 51 turnovers...that is a lot of turnovers...think UAB gets a rd win..

Marq +2.5 over Butler **
Butler owns this series but think Howard and co pull this out...
Rutgers +1.5 over Indy **
RU might win 3 or 4 straight B-10 road games..Indy is down and RU is at the RAC..Baker is playing outstanding.. just maybe Pickeil can keep his job.

G. Wash -2 over Fordham ***
Rams start out looking good...close your eyes and they have lost 8 in a row..GW starts out looking so bad but its 4 sophs starters are starting to learn to play together..

Vir Tech -8 over Miami ***
This is a solid team with Robinson with the ball... Canes are in trouble tonite

Louie -10 over Wake ***
Blowout game of the night..
Johnnies +5 over Creighton **
Ponds has to play.. Johnnies worst coached team...have fallen apart recently..such high hopes a few weeks ago..the talent is there...but they are all over the place...Ponds just might keep them close tonite..

Niagara +1 over Canisius **
Both teams just blew out Monmouth..Nia won 75-48 and Griffs won 80-66..Purple avg 80 pts a game but gives up 75...Griffs have Molson and Reese who both can score...Griffs are 8-11 but 5-2 in the MAAC..Purple are 3-5 in MAAC...Purple has Prochet who is avg 18 pts and 8 bds..Robb inside is tough... Barton a senior gd for Purple had 23 points the other nite,,think in his 4 years at Niagara he has a total of 23 points....anyway close game...Purple defense will let Reese and Molson get season highs..but hopefully Rabb and Prochet dominate the paint..

Utah St -25 over San Jose St **
A lot of points but Aggies just beat them at their place 81-63...Aggies just won 4 in a row..SJ can't score,play defense ..rank in the 300's in many...what might happen is Utah St up 28 with 3 minutes and backdoor comes into play...think Aggies win by 30..

Hey Box

Not trying to be critical but just wondering why it seems you play a lot of road teams in the -6 to -10 range? Do you factor home court in? To me those seem to be the games many times the even if the favorite wins they don't cover.... i.e. Virginia last night

Jordan, Not sure how many times I take a visiting team with the line around the -6 to -10 ..not sure if there is a pattern...I do take away the home court advantage in most gyms if the visiting team has an excellent point gd or an impact player..some visiting teams have both...usually the home court rule is anywhere from 2-4 points..that can change in some cases... I feel my capping is a little different then the normal method.. I give the coach a point or two...in many cases...especially in the MAAC and Sun Conf...my method has many holes in it because like I always say " I'm not on a beach in the Caymons"...but I'm glad I'm in Austin now with the 9 inches of snow and the -2 temperature tonite in NY.
In tonites games Marquette,Vir Tech,Louie and Johnnies all on the road...VT and Louie have good pt gds and Marq and Johnnis have impact players...but lost my seeing eye game taking UAB...not sure if that answers your question...
