Western Carolina +15, 2*

Western Carolina +15, 2*

1. Depaul coming off an ebarassing 30 pt loss to ND. With the motivation from that loss, Depaul plays tonight til the buzzer. FIU not a very good team, especially on the road. Talent mismatch here.

2.Ohio St -- still haven't heard if Page isplaying but it sounds like he won't. Even if he does he'llprobably be a bit gimpy. He'stheir leading scorer and would have guarded Darby, the leading scorer in the Big Ten. Pitt has been killing people but hasplayed no one. Ohio St played well vs. Duke and Alabama. They need a win over a good team. I think they have an outisde shot at the upset so I'll take the pts.

3.WCU -- WVU hasn't blown anybody out this year -- they simply don't have that kindof talent. They are getting by on great coaching and effort. WCU hasn;t lost by more than 5 yet. Martin (27ppg), the nation's 4th leading scorer, will play tonight after the flu. His shooting will helpagainst that 1-3-1 zone. WVU willwin, but 15 is just too high IMO.

thanks Gregg

thanks Gregg

how's the team doing? Maybe you should just tell them, "look, Jimmy's gonna be a player-coach tonight cuz I've gotta capp the first half total on tomorrow's Southeast Missouri St - Arkansas Tech game.":D

S. Alabama +21, 2*

As long as they can be relatively competitive on the boards against a much bigger, stronger team, S. Alabama has a great shot to cover here. They've played three games as road dogs and lost all 3 by 11 points. Guards can put it in the whole and the team forces 23 to's, compared to 13 per game by Bama. Bama may get their center back tonight though, so they will contorl the inside. But I think USA is good enough to avoid a 20-pt loss.

2-2, -.4*, and probably lucky at that. WVU loss was never in doubt and Ohio St, although close to a backdoor cover briefly, was outclassed ... didn't help that Page not only played but scored 18 and held Darby to 3 points.

Oh well, nights like that I'll gladly take .500. Back later.
