10-11-3 (+0.35 u)

1 Unit play

2 TEAM 5 PT TEASER:

PROVIDENCE +7
BALL STATE PK

Providence at home vs Uconn, it's no secret, most people know this should be a close game so 7 pts is huge.

Next we have Ball state at home vs Bowling Green. Bowling Green has a super record at 13-1 and undefeated on the road. They beat Mississippi on the road on theirs' and miss first game of the year, but I don't like to take that game into heavy consideration cause of first game jitters. Lets look at who Bowling Green played on the road the rest of their season though, if you see, they have played cupcake teams with bad records:

Duquesne 5-9
Evansville 4-11
Indiana St 3-11
Central Mich 3-9
Buffalo 8-8

Now they go against Ball state (10-5), who is a very talented team(if u saw them play this year, you know what I'm talking about). Don't let the 10-5 record deceive you. Considering 10 of there 15 games so far have been on the road, that's an impressive record. I expect Ball state to be in March Madness with quality wins over Kansas and UCLA already this season. Who else in the nation can say they beat Kansas and UCLA in back to back games??? Kansas was the first game of the season so I didn't take that into heavy consideration, but then they beat UCLA the next game, then I know they were for real. Ball state's talent and homecourt advantage is too much for Bowling Green I feel. I would have taken Ball state at -3, but -5 I wasn't comfortable with, so taking the tease for PK for Ball state to just win this one outright looks real good to me.

Hello there,

Did you by any chance cap the UConn/Providence game besides the fact that you think the game will be close due to previous results???

I absolutely love UConn for several reasons:

First, there's a huge difference in FG%. .. UConn shoots at 50% while Providence is shooting 41%. Defensively, UConn holds opponents to 37.1% while Providence allows 42.9.

Another interesting discrepancy is 3 point shooting. UConn only attempts 11 per game indicating that they look to go inside for easy points. Providence attempts 23 per game. Both attempt the same amount of shots per game indicating that tempo wouldn't be a factor for this discrepancy. Providence averages only 31% from long range and UConn defends the long shot well giving up 30%. . .

Basically I see both teams trying to force the ball inside (perhaps Providence will catch on a little late) for easy points and this is UConn's strength.

Good luck anyways, but I will not be surprised if UConn runs away with this one.

hi

hi

Nickelback,
No doubt Uconn is the better team, but the 50% FG percentage u got for Uconn must come from the entire season. For me, I don't count the entire season because teams like Uconn and other schools from tough conferences like the Big East and SEC etc etc play a lot of weaker conference schools in which they pad their records and stats with before they start playing teams in their own conference. Since Uconn is playing on the road this game, I only concentrated on their road stats they had this season. Only once out of their 5 road games they shot 50% FG percentage or higher.

This is what Uconn FG% are on the road this season:

at Geo Wash .483
at Maryland .348
at Umass .478
at V tech .571
at Villanova .466

The only team they hit 50%+ FG on the road is against V Tech, which is no surprise considering V tech is the only team on the list above with a losing record.

hello there,

Too bad we both couldn't have gotten the win with the UConn game. . . still a great teaser by you IMO because you picked up valuable numbers from both games. Apparently the Ball State/Bowling Green game was close until the final minutes so teasing it down to a pk for the home team was huge despite the fact they ran away with the game at the end.

Hope you get your win tomorrow. . .
