Here are 6 strong doggies!!
I ONLY pick dogs, I picked 4 yesterday, 3 covered and 2 of them won outright!!!! I wouldn't be surprised if some of these dogs win outright, but I'll settle for the cover.
Georgia +4 over South Carolina
Miss State +1.5 over Auburn
Tennessee +3.5 over LSU
Michigan +13 over Mich state
OK State +9 over Oklahoma
Baylor +8 over Colorado
Reasons for my 6 picks:
* S.C. at home giviing points, which way do u think the book thinks the public is going for?? Yup, S.C., however, Georgia is the better team, plus getting over 3 pts, I'll take it. I feel they will battle hard, especially after losing a close on in their last game.
* Again, Auburn at home giving pts, ahhh, another very tempting public play, but I ain't falling for it, I'm going with Miss state to outplay Auburn in a hard fought game.
* Again, LSU at home giving pts. To the public and the way I used to think was that 3.5 pts is nothing, and if LSU wins, they should win by more than that, however, I learned 3+ pts is huge, especially up against a Tennessee club that is much improved winning 3 of their last 4 games. Tennessee's last 5 road losses were extremely close (they loss by an average of only 2 pts to these five strong teams: Memphis(loss by 2 pts), Louisville(loss by 1 pt), Wisconsin(loss by 3 pts), Georgia(loss by 3 pts), Miss st(loss by 1 pt). They have been in some wars on the road, I expect another one going down to the wire, I'll gladly take the pts in this one.
* When the public looks at this play, I have the feeling they will think Mich state is the much superior team compared to the wolverines, but check their records, Wolverines have a better record in their conference. I don't think the Spartans will run away with this game like they were used to be capable of doing in years past, and if somehow they do take the big lead, I'll take the backdoor cover if it comes down to it. A win is a win right.
* Ok state is ranked 9th in the nation, and they are getting 9 pts!!! You'd think they were playing Duke or Kansas, but looky here, they are playing Oklahoma, a great team, but nowhere in the league of Duke or Kansas. Heck, give me the 9 pts, and i'll go with Ok state. I don't think OK state will take this one for granted after getting blown out in their last road game against Texas Tech. I'm sure they learned from that one and will be prepared from the get go.
* Baylor vs Colorado. A lame game, but anyways, Colorado is the better team, but can they beat Baylor by 8 pts?? Colorado does rebound well after coming home after a road loss this season if you check their record, so I'm not expecting an upset in this one, however, looking at Baylor, they just played Texas tough, and I think they will go to Colorado and give them a game too. Baylor has never loss 3 games in a row this season, they just loss 2, I expect them to be tired of losing by now and play hard to keep the streak going by trying to avoid 3 losses in a row, they probably won't succeed, but heck, I think they can stay within 8 pts. Even if Colorado does jump to a double digit lead....if they do that is, I can rely on the backdoor cover huh. Again, a win is a win. A lot less bad things can happen getting pts than giving pts in a game that's not really a big mismatch. I could be wrong....we'll see.
