Season to Date: 34-27-2 +8.94 units
Yesterday: 1-2 -1.3 units
Should have had a winning day yesterday, but lost by the dreaded hook in the milwaukee total. Rather lose by 20 points than the hook, but such is life in the association. A few games that have some good potential tonight it looks like.
Philadelphia/Toronto UNDER 160.5 1 unit. By now everyone knows that Iverson isn't gonna play, and its doubtful Coleman and Robinson will play as well. Even if they do, they are still nursing injuries and will be limited in time. This leaves a depleted lineup and bench for the sixers. Toronto with the exception of last games double OT to Houston doesn't put up a lot of points. Philly isn't dumb and won't try to run as they will most likely have little bench and cannot tire themselves out. Philly should have NO scorers, and Toronto already has little to score with. I expect another beautiful display of basketball by both teams with the score somewhere in the high 60s and low 70s.
Cleveland +6 1 unit. Cleveland did already beat Washington at home this season. Yet the Cavs are 0-5 on the road this year. Eventually they will win one, and I think tonight is as good a spot as any to at least keep it close. I don't put much stock in a back to back spot for the Cavs as they are relatively young. They had a blowout game last night although they did let the Clip sneak back into it a little in the 2h. They now have a 2 game win streak and are looking to extend. Definitely not a playoff team, but glimpses of a team definitely improving. Arenas and Hughes are leading Washington, and "Dream Teamer" Laettener is questionable for tonight. Iligauskus should be able to work down low and generate some easy buckets. No Boozer for the cavs, but I still think they can stay within the number.
Lakers/Knicks UNDER 189 1 unit. Most know that the lakers lost last night and all their games on the road 6-0 this year have gone over. But this is a 3 in 4 spot for the lake show. They are an older team, and the Knicks just don't have the fire power to keep up with them. There isn't much of a write-up on this one as I personally think offshore and Vegas want over money on this game as the total of 186 just seemed low to open to a team that has gone over 200 points in every road game this year. Phil should preach defense after allowing the Pistons to break the 100 barrier against them last night.
Milwauke +120 1 unit. Both teams enter the contest at 5-5. Both teams had to play last night and both lost and now must fly to the mile high city. I don't care about Carmelo, I'm still not sold on this team even at home. Nene Hilario (i will always call him this, i don't put stock in dumb NBA players changing their last name or getting rid of it altogether...who the hell are you to go by one name???) is questionable for the game. In a fairly close matchup, I'll bite with the dog to win.
Utah/Sacramento UNDER 196. 3 units(max play). There you have it, my big bet of the evening. Both teams allowing just 90 points a game their last 5. Sacramento can still score, but in what should be a close game Sloan will make sure his group of misfits play defense. They will not try and run, and should be able to if not win, at least dictate the tempo early.
Good Luck To All
