Lakers vs. Heat

Coming off of a win Monday night over Golden State, Miami are now 5-13 on the road this year. The Heat have a decent defense but offensively they don?t have what it takes to keep up with the Lakers. Besides that, LA will have the match up advantage on the court tonight as well.

The Lakers have done a fairly good job of picking up the slack for O?Neal when he has been out of the lineup. Kobe Bryant has been a scoring machine lately and he may even try to one up Iverson by going for 60. Who knows, but it would be fun to see it happen. It?s obvious that without Shaq in the line up there is HUGE line value in this game as well as a situational edge for LA. Also, the Lakers are 8-0 ATS as a home fav of 6.5 to 9 this season.

Throughout this season the Lakers have been scoring 19-points per game more than Miami. Over the last 5 games, LA has scored 25 points per game more than the Heat. Also, LA is #1 in the league in opponents FG%. What this all means is that the Heat are in trouble tonight. I have tried to think of every possible scenerio for Miami victory tonight and I just can?t find a way that Miami could score enough to keep up with LA. In fact, I don?t see them making it out of the 170s tonight. The Lakers have been 8-0 ATS when they allow 85-points or less. I am going to lay the 9 points and take the champs.

Will have another write up on GS/Cavs soon if my damn clients would stop bothering me. :) What do they think I work for a living or something??

I second all of your thoughts !

I posted this game as my pick of the month and my book this morning @ 1:00am had the line @ LAKERS -7.5 when EVERY OTHER book including Las Vegas had it @ -8...SO I JUMPED IN VERY DEEP ! 15* DEEP !

GOOD LUCK !;)

GS vs. Cavs

OK, so this is what some of you call an ?Ugly Game?. However, I see a lot of value in this game.

The Warriors are looking to put an end to their 7 game losing streak (both SU and ATS). Their record is 12-24 SU and 13-22 ATS. GS has been scoring an average 94 points per game and allowing their opponents to score an average 99 points per game. Antawn Jamison has the team lead in scoring for an average 19 points per game and also has team lead in assists with an average 7 in assists per game. Danny Fortson has been handling the majority of the rebounding for the team with an average 13 rebounds per game.

The Cavs are also looking to put an end to their 7 game losing streak. Their record is 14-24 SU and 21-16 ATS. Cleveland has been has been scoring an average 91 points per game and allowing their opponents to score an average 96 points per game. Lamond Murray has the team lead in scoring for an average 17 points per game and has an average 5 rebounds per game. Andre Miller has the majority of assists with an average 11 assists per game. Jumaine Jones has been handling the majority of the rebounding for the team with an average 8 rebounds per game.

At home, GS has a record of 7-10 SU and 6-11 ATS. They have scored an average 93 points per game and have allowed the visiting team to score an average 96 points per game. On the road, the Cavs have been 4-16 SU and 10-10-1. They have scored an average 88 points per game and allowed their opponents to score an average 96 points per game. You would think that GS has the advantage here but they don?t. Why?? Because in the previous ten games against the Cavs, the Warriors have won 2-8 both SU and ATS, getting outscored by an average 89-100. The last 3 games have belonged to Cleveland 3-0 both SU and ATS by an average score of 105-95. Something has to give tonight and I don?t see anything ugly about taking the Cavs +4 in this game.

Also like both these plays...

But the bit I liked best was "if my damn clients would stop bothering me." LMFAO - I too find work gets in the way of the important chit :toast:

Heat have only lost 2 games all year by more than 9 pts on the road and are 3-1 in there last 4 road games. They play MUCH better away from home (lack of fans is depressing at home), one of those two losses was by 9 exactly and they had no grant, no zo and gave up a late 8-0 run to get it to 9. After seeing kobe go off vs memphis im probably not gonna take mia but its not smart to lay pts vs miami on the road imo, keep in mind if grant and zo are on they really have no one to stop them and you never know what days zo is gonna feel good.

Thanks Anders...GL to you as well tonight. They always want something when I'm trying to cap my games. One day I will be honest with one of them that pisses me off and let them know that any problems they're having are not nearly as important as me getting a play for the evening. :D

Dnuggs...Thanks for the feedback bro but I am locked and loaded on the Lakers tonight. GL Tonight!!

:( I can't believe both of these plays tanked especially the Cavs. I know they were on a back to back but they got their ass handed to them. I thought they were gonna turn things around because they looked pretty good vs. the Kings. Thanks for the warning though dnuggs, I WILL listen next time, in fact, will lay off of LA until the big man returns.
