Last year we could almost print money fading the LAA when facing a lefty. This year looks to be playing about the same for LAA. They are dead last against LHP and draw a reasonable opponent in Matthew Boyd. Boyd's last three have garnered him a 2-1 record with a WHIP of .85 and that's against better LH hitting teams than LAA, but to be fair, everyone is. This won't be a blowout for Detroit, but I do see a 3-0 type of game here.
Cubs -220
I hate the price, but we get clearly the better bats and clearly the better pitcher. My rule of thumb is to try and get these type of matchups under -200, but this looks too good to pass up .
That is all that stands out today as safe.
