YTD: 12-6
PICK: Niagara -8
Since starting the season at 1-6, Niagara has won 5 of their L6. The primary reason is that they have gotten all of their players back from suspension including Charron Fisher who is averaging 20ppg in his L5. 6'10" center Benson Egemonye, a transfer from Northeastern, is eligible and playing now too.
Niagara is very tough at home: going 57-15 in home conference games under coach Mihalich. I have no doubt the Purple Eagles win this one, and I like them to cover the 8 for the following reasons:
1. Revenge: St. Peters swept the series with Niagara last year: in OT at Niagara and by 20 in NJ
2. Home Cookin': this is Niagara's first home game since they started playing well about a month ago.
Niagara has many more offensive weaspons and I like them to win by double digits.
In terms of the other MAAC game, Canisius is a hot team but Siena is playing well too so I'm laying off.
good luck.
