Niagara -4

IMO the Purple Eagles are the team to beat in the MAAC...all five starters return including studs Darden, Mendez and Reaves...Cansius lost their best two players in Mallory and Dux...the game is at HSBC which is a neutral court since the two teams are cross-town rivals.

Cansius squeaked by Buffalo with a 60-58 victory but lost 65-48 to Liberty in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout. They rebounded with a 62-59 victory over Pacific, but then lost to Division II Alaska Anchorage, 72-67.

This is the first MAAC game for both teams this season and I'm sure that Niagara will want to open 1-0...especially as Manhattan and Fairfield look vulnerable after tonights losses.

More tomorrow.

Superbook, great call on Wichita.I'm sorry our post was almost identical.I didn't see yours until after I posted.
I loved that game last nite.I had Wichita -2 in my system. When I saw they were +7,I jumped on it.
And again you beat me to the punch.I love Niagara -4 tomr vs Canisius.I really believe they can beat Manhattan for the title. And they will beat the Johnnies next month.Tomr they beat the Griffs by double digits. The line will go up to -6 so if you can get it tonite at -4 its a bargain.

Like URI -5 tomr over Brown,Pitt over the li'l dikies,BG over Buffalo and Bradley over C. Mich GL,great job tonite

Don't think travel fatigue will be a factor but here's some info:
For the first week of December, the Canisius men's basketball team already has a lot of mileage on its legs. The Griffs' bounce-back ability looms large for tonight's showdown against Niagara in HSBC Arena.

After spending last week at the Great Alaska Shootout, the Griffs didn't get back to the Koessler Center until 3 a.m. Monday.

Their bus trip home from Toronto took nearly six hours - longer than the flight from Anchorage to Minneapolis - after the driver got lost on Highway 401 and headed west toward Detroit rather than getting on the Queen Elizabeth Way toward Niagara Falls.

SB, glad we agreed on Hofstra as I doubled up my wager. Tonight I see a bad Citadel team against an upper level program and App St. playing tough enough at home to cover. Thoughts? GL Bone

Worm -- I hear you re: traditionally close games. I have a nice middle going with Niagara -3.5 and Canisius +6.5 for half of my wager (-120 on both sides).

Bone -- both of these lines look about right to me. SC is at least 15 points better than The Citadel but this is the Gamecocks first game on the road...pass for me. I think The Citadel made Ap State look better than they really are...Ap State shot 41% from the arc, led by Noah Brown going 5-11 with the three, which is higher than the teams FG% for the year...my lean here would be to GW.

Good luck guys.

Mjolnir --

I don't see this game landing on 5; I think either Niagara wins by double digits (most likely) or by just one or two (less likely)....so I think -5.5 is just as good as 4 or 5.

Fellows ...for what its worth ...got Niagara-5 1/2 capped to win by 12-13 points ...so dont think the line will make any difference in a win or loss ...lay the points ....Augur
