Finally, its back. Hopefully, I can get back to my winning ways in the NHL (my most profitable sport).

NHL record (0-0-0)

================
St.Louis Blues
@ Detroit Red Wings
================
Detroit did lose key players to their squad, including starting goalie Joseph, but Manny Legace has look solid in perseason, and as Delmore got claimed off waivers, it apperas as though Lilja will be the 6th defenceman until Kronwall is good again. St. Louis definitely suffered the most during the lockout. MacInnis has retired, Pronger was traded, and Demitra, Khavanov and Osgood left for other teams. And to make matters worse, Keith Tkachuk is vastly out of shape. Lalime should be a decent replacement for Osgood but no one is going to adequately replace those other guys.
Pick: Detroit Red Wings

Calgary Flamse
@Minnesota Wild
================
With the addition of Amonte up front, Calgary now has two very offensive lines. More importantly for the Flames was the bolstering up their defence. With Hamrlik stepping in and Phaneuf finally ready for NHL action this looks like one of the best defensive crops in the NHL, and having Kipprusoff in net doesn't hurt at all. I just can't see Calgary losing this game.
Pick: Calgary Flames
================
================
New York Rangers
@Philladelphia Flyers
Flyers
================
The Flyers are favoured to win the Cup. I highly doubt they will let the Rangers step in their was on oppening night. Although the Rangers do posses an offensive lind of Rucinsky-Straka-Jagr, thats all all they have. Handzus' line will proabably be the line to shut down the Jagr line giving Forsberg and company space and time create chances all game.
Pick: Philladelphia Flyers
================
================
New York Islanders
@Buffalo Sabres
Sabres
================
The Sabres were one of the best teams during preseason. Although many will say the preseason doesn't cound, Buffalo was doing the best job of staying out of the box. The speedy wingers this team has will make it difficult for the Isles to defend, and will give Buffalo a lot of PP time. The Isles do have Satan who is centered by Yashin, but we will see how their other lines hold up.
Pick: Buffalo Sabres

Wow, where was the Calgary defence.....Kippy did everything he could, including stopping two on ones, to keep his team in the game...Mental breakdown for the Flames...big play on their next game for me. Anyways, the Flyers blew their game away also.....

Starting off 2-2 not bad, but not nearly where i want it to be.
