Hondo

Hondo, who went draino Monday with the Red Sawx to reduce his haul to 375 monbouquettes, was expecting Boston to bounce back last night.
Tonight, he's figuring on Cole to fuel a victory over Billingsley - Chad, not Barbara. Ten units on the Phillies to close it out.

(9) EDM Oilers
(10) ANA Ducks
Take "(9) EDM Oilers"
A little deja vu taking place in Anaheim, with the Ducks playing uninspired hockey out of the gate for the second straight year. This team is very talented and should eventually get things right, but they just aren't sharp at present. It's just the second game for Edmonton as the usual bizarre NHL scheduling has had the Oilers mostly sitting at home and watching. But they looked pretty good in their opening win, scoring a late goal to get a 3-2 win. The Oilers are one of the fastest teams in the league and with the Ducks having played Tuesday night, I like the fresher Edmonton legs to have some success tonight. I'm backing Edmonton at decent road dog odds.

Game: Phoenix Coyotes at Chicago Blackhawks Oct 15 2008 8:35PM
Prediction: under
Reason: The under is 1-1 in the Coyotes two games this season but if you go back to last season the under is a profitable 8-3-1 in their last 12 road games. The Blackhawks have played the under once this season and it was in their only home game of the year. The under is a profitable 11-5 in Chicago's last 16 home games. The under is 11-2-1 in the Coyotes last 14 trips to Chicago. The under is 20-7-2 in the last 29 meetings between the clubs. Look for another low scoring game tonight. Play the under.

ADVANCED WINNER
20 Dime TCU - Analysis by 7 p.m. eastern on your advanced winner for Thursday.

5 Dime PHILLIES - Guys, this is your basic hedge bet since we are sitting on a 10-Dime Series play with the Dodgers. After the Game 4 collapse to go down 3-games-to-1, we now take a look at the Phils to get our series bet back and break even with the NLCS. And with Cole Hamels going for us tonight, and this lineup hitting the way it has, there might not be anything that can stop Philadelphia. Chad Billingsley has been tough, I'll give him that, but this Phils team has come together, despite Ryan Howard and Chase Utley's deficiencies at the plate. Take the road chalk here.

Indian Cowboy:

Phillies vs. Dodgers Research

The Dodgers have their back to the wall similar to the Red Sox, but some silver lining is that the Dodgers will play this game at home. This game will be on Fox and the Phillies came back from a defecit in the late innings to put up several runs to take the lead back from the Dodgers. The line is set at -120 for the game and the total resides at 7.5. A bit dissappointing for the Dodgers that they will have to face Hamel in this game, but in some respects it is an advantage. Think about it, if you are to face Hamels, would you not want to face him at home rather than on the road. Roughly 56% favor teh Dodgers at home here with the plus price in the elimination game. The last 3 in this contest have gone over and the last 5 outings for Hamels has been rock solid. He has pitched 5 straight quality starts and his last 9 of 10 have been quality as he has really come through for this team. This team is 7-2-1 in Hamel's last 10 starts as Hamel helped beat the Dodgers 3-2 and 9-2 before that. Having said that, Billingsley is on a bounce-back himself after giving up 7 runs in just over 2 innings, giving up 8 hits in that process. Billingsley has helped his team win 6 out of the last 8 contests. If I had to take one side or the other, note that Billingsley is on a bounce-back, he is at home, he hasp itched 6 of 8 quality contests so he has not pitched back to back non-quality starts in quite some time, look for this baby to be a pitcher's duel. My lean hence is on the under. gl.

Philadelphia Phillies at Los Angeles Dodgers
(L) Cole Hamels (2-0) vs. (R) Chad Billingsley (1-1)
The Dodgers are in a do or die game tonight against the energetic Phillies, down 3-1. Los Angeles sends staff ace Chad Billingsley to the mound, hopeful to keep them alive. Billingsley was outstanding in the regular season, a 16-game winner. However, the right-hander lost his only start against Philadelphia in the regular season, surrendering three runs and seven hits in six innings and was clobbered in Game 2 of the NLCS, allowing a season-high eight runs, eight hits and three walks in 2 1/3 innings. Philadelphia counters with their ace Cole Hamels. The lefthander won his 2 starts this postseason, allowing two runs, striking 17 over 15 innings.

Take the Phillies with Hamels on the hill to be in command and end the defending World Series champions? playoff run. Phillies have won six of the last 7 at Dodger Stadium.
Philadelphia Phillies -120

Ben Burns has only made two selections in the second round of the baseball playoffs. Both of them came from the Dodgers/Phillies series and BOTH resulted in winners. Burns returns with ANOTHER BEAUTY on Wednesday. This is his HIGHEST RATED TOTAL of the playoffs thus far. Don't even consider missing out!
