Saturdays games did me right as the tourney gets later and the domestic seasons are over, the top teams are starting to take care of business while the also rans are starting to give up.

An early look at the games and these are the ones I'm liking:

Netherlands -167, -1 +110
They have not given up a goal in over 4 games. Last goal was in the 14th minute of their 3-1 win over Finland. Finland might be at home this time, but Netherlands is playing lights out now. Finland might have 9 points but they have come exculsively from Andora and Armenia.

Portugal -233, -1 -130
Estonia's been outscored 11-4 at home, Portugals got Figo back on the team and beat them 4-0 already. Also always love the -1 line so much more than -1/2 - I'll gladly take the greatly improved odds and risk a push in a one goal winner.

Slovakia Over 3 1/2, -2 1/2
Slovakia is 3 pts behind Port, tied w/Russia. Should be ugly. Luxe's last 4 games: outscored 17-0 - ouch. You lose at home 4-0 to Lichtenstien and it could safely be said, you have no business on the pitch.

Bosnia +1 1/2 +120, U 2 1/2 +125.
Spains been unable to score much and no one's been able to score on them. W/Bosnia's injuries on offense they will play defense all night and wait for a counter. Maybe a little on Bosnia +1200

Malta - small bet +1100, +2 -140.
Both amazingly bad teams. Drew 0-0 previous game in Malta. Neither has managed a draw or win from anyone else. -21 goal diff for Malta is due to being outscored 13-0 in 2 games vs Sweden. -11 for Finland is not much better as they still have to take another beating from Sweden. Not much confidence in either team as this is a bet purely against Iceland as there is no way they should be such heavy odds to beat anyone - even equally crappy Malta.

I'm a little uncomfortable taking big favorites on the road, but there are some god awful teams out there that have been beaten and destroyed enough to not put up much of a fight. I think Portugal, Slovakia and the Netherlands are playing 3 of them Wednesday.

Also like Paraguay, Mexico and USA giving goals.

Any thoughts? Anybody else got any they like?

yea.....and notice how bosnia got 2 red cards in the last few minutes.......and the ref wasn't going to blow the whistle until Spain tied it (96 minute equalizer). He was probably afraid for his life if Spain lost.

Paraguay came through as well crushing hopeless Bolviia. Mexico pushed at the -2 I took them at. Unfortunately I didn't pull the trigger on USA. All in all, a heck of a day!

Bosnia did get screwed over pretty hard. No way those refs make those same decisions if the game was in Bosnia or even a neutral site.
