Wizard as a rule you will not beat the books in college basketball taking all favorites. The reasoning behind this is as follows. First of all the game is shorter 40 minutes and the shot clock is longer 35 secs. Fouls can accumulate against star players and teams go under long SCORELESS droughts as is evident by many favorites covering at half and then blowing the lead. Also the season is short and many teams are unpredictable and hard to value their true talent and ability. Lastly their kids, not PROFESSIONALS with that in mind except for the powerhouse ranked teams, play underdogs between two average teams you will win every week$$$.
