They go 2-4 Tuesday , with Pitt beating up on Det. Combined they are 34-81 since 5/22.
Reasonable goal this week to cut the negative units for the season in half.

Question for the experts. Texas had runner at 3rd, one out. Does it ever cross the Mgr. mind to bunt the SOB in? I know base hit, fly ball, runner scores , but the bunt would also probably work.

depends on who is batting for texas, they only have a couple guys that could even get a bunt down, i know they had a runner on 3rd one out with kapler up in like the 3rd. american league teams bunt so seldomly and i bet they work on squeeze plays even less, remember with a runner on third if you bunt, most likely you either have to go squeeze or safety squeeze. texas probably thinks they have a better shot at just getting a hit then trying squeeze play. of course defensive positioning factors in, but i don't know if i have seen tex try a squeeze in a few years. kapler not known for laying it down, probably does not possess the flexibility in his muscle-bound body to pull it off. rather hit bombs and let the ladies cream in their seats. just kidding but i go to texas games every month and the chicks are on his nuts bigtime. a local radio station got him on the air and then called one of his minor league roommates, the roommate called out kapler for standing in front of the mirror and posing, all the time supposedly. cheesedick!
