1-2 on tuesday. shoulda been 2-1, but thems the breaks. for tonight, played:
3* virginia (+15) over duke
2* tennessee (+14) over florida
2* michigan (+8) over ohio state
pretty strong play on virginia tonight. on the surface, i could be asking for trouble going anti-duke here, as they burned me good when i played wake on sunday night. but i really like the cavaliers tonight. the main reason is because they have the one piece that you need to beat duke. and thats travis watson. virginia has a reliable inside game that duke is going to have trouble with imo. the last few years, the teams that have beaten duke have hurt the devils inside. lonny baxter did it over the course of a few seasons at maryland along with wilcox. and just last week- if mike sweetney didnt get in foul trouble for georgetown the dukies were in legitimate trouble. i dont think the cavs are deep enough to have any shot at the outright- but im very comfortable that watson will hurt duke enough to allow virginia to cover the whole way
vols/gators has been an underdog series the last few years. gators are off an emotional last second win on saturday. vols getting DD makes sense here. florida has blown some teams out at home- so this wont be easy for tennessee, but i think it stays relatively close.
gonna give a blistering michigan team a shot tonight. theyve done most of their damage at home (although the win at ucla, regardless of bruins current state, was still impressive). buckeyes off a huge win vs indiana. they might be a little fat and i think michigan can sneak inside the number.
