I don't normally post my plays but here is what I will be playing this weekend.
I like the Jets +3.5 at home. Tampa Bay struggles to score points and won't be able to pull away from the Jets enough to make them one dimensional with Geno. Gang green should be able to move the ball on the ground and on screens with what will assuredly be an overly aggressive defense. That can lead to an overpursuing front that is prone to short passes and screens. Also, something is wrong with Josh Freeman and their offense will struggle to score 19 points. I don't think they will get there. I think the Jets keep it close enough at home to get the cover. Tampa Bay by 2
New England in Buffalo means Tom Brady goes for at least 3 touchdown passes and overwhelms a game but underdeveloped Buffalo defense. The Patriots will be too much for Buffalo to keep this close. Patriots by 13
Homer pick of the week is Chicago. Terence Newman can't stay with Marshall and they will have to double team both outside receivers and commit a safety to Forte with LB help up the middle. Chicago has a much improved O line this year and will help give Cutler the extra half second he seems to require to squeeze the hell out of the ball. This will also leave the seams open for Bennett and Bennett in the slot and at TE. Cincinnati will have to play more zone coverage than they are comfortable with and won't be able to protect the corners or play eight in the box against the run. Conversely, Cincy's offense plays right into the hands of the Bears defensive strength. Tillman is comfortable playing up and man on man with A.J. Green at least 40% of the time with Jennings on Sanu. Cincinnati has some weapons but they are young, unproven and on the road for their first game. Bears by 8
