Flat out sucked last week at 1-5. New York was down just 3 points at half, end up losing by 24. Indy manages to score 7 points in the 1st half against Az and lose despite knocking out the starting QB. Terrible.

YTD: 16-20 -6 units

2 Friday games

Buffalo +1 over Arizona

Az QB Sherderick Bonner took a vicious hit on his left knee late in the 1st half against Indy last week and it looked serious, he may start tonight, but Bonner is not a mobile QB to begin with and having a bad knee makes him a vulnerable target against Buffalo. Rookie Chris Hixson may see some time in this game. Buffalo's only loss at home this year has been to San Jose and that was without QB Fred McNair, who has not thrown an INT in his last 127 pass attempts. Both teams are looking to secure 1st round byes and I think the home field advantage gives Buffalo the win.

Orlando +3 over Carolina

Well it is June and the predictable Carolina fade is in full effect. Losers of 4 in a row, HC Mike Neu has again gone to John Fitzgerald as the starting QB. Fitzgerald was pulled a couple weeks ago because he couldn't keep the ball out of the opponents' hands and now he goes against the #1 ranked defense. Orlando has never lost to Carolina in 3 previous encounters and this game could decide who wins the division as Orlando, Carolina and Georgia are tied for 1st in the Southern Division. With 2 key division games following this one, it is imperative that Orlando win here.

Arena Saturday:
New Jersey -9 over Detroit

Fury played tough last week and could have beaten Chicago, but collasped late and that may have killed their spirit. New Jersey is in the driver's seat for an Eastern Division title with a win here. Fury have lost 7 in a row, are -16 in turnover ratio and lost another scoring threat in Chuck Winters. The Glads have the 3rd best defense in the AFL and should pick off a few errant passes.

Georgia -7 over Tampa Bay

Frustrations have taken over the Tampa locker room as HC Tim Marcum is venting about the team's 7 losses, most in franchise history. He blasted the team this week, especially the placekicker for poor play. TB lost QB Scott Milanovich to a injured shoulder so Shane Stafford will be behind center. Stafford was benched earlier in the season in favor of Milanovich. Georgia lost to Grand Rapids on a Hail Mary pass last week, but they know they can play with anyone in the league, even though they are just 4-6. A win would tie them with Orlando for the division lead.
