All 4 in my pool still advance. Ironically, going into Week 12 and none of the 4 who remain have used defending Super Bowl champ New England or AFC runner-up Pittsburgh. Of the 4 left, I'm the only one who's used St. Louis.
I still have Oakland, SF, Pittsburgh and New England left. New England is very tempting, given the road woes of Minnesota. But the emergence of RB Bennett and a shockingly good run defense by the Vikings may make this a shaky play. I don't like using road teams but Oakland must be considered. W/out WRs Boston and Jenkins, the Cardinals have no punch. How bad can a team be that gets blown out by a QB who plays an entire game on a broken ankle? Pittsburgh? Cincinnati has played them tough historically and beat them SU last year. Pittsburgh w/Kordell at QB is a lot different than w/Maddox this year. The anti-Houston play would be the Giants but I went against Houston last week at home and going against a team 2 weeks in a row at home may be pushing it. San Fran? Philly obviously isn't the same team w/out McNabb but their defense is still very strong so there has to be a better spot for SF down the line. The anti-Detroit play would be Chicago but imagine getting knocked out by taking a team that's lost 8 in a row?? I think the Bears will win that game but they are no lock. The Jets?? Not impossible since they have been rolling recently.
