LW 5-4 +12x (had OU -28 :cursin: )

YTD 52-37 +79.5x

Iowa -3 4x - Hawks almost unbeatable at Kinnick and Alvarez will have trouble focusing his team in practice this week.

Iowa/Wisci Under 39 4x - neither team will be able to move the ball effectively, and both special teams are solid, so I don't see a whole ton of return points. Possibly some short fields due to tough defense but Ferentz and Barry will be happy to play field position. Seeing this one 21-13 Iowa.

Looking hard at UM/OSU over (probably will be a large play, waiting to see where total goes).

Good luck this weekend Wood! I'm passing on that game, After the Mich St game I don't know how to judge that Badger defense. Still good luck with your plays!

Cheers

Leaning this way on both of these as well, CWood97....Am concerned a bit about the Badgers mindset coming of that horrible performance in East Lansing last weekend--there is still a trip to a Florida New Years Day bowl game riding on this one and Alvarez always gets his troops ready to play at Kinnick as he was a long time assistant to the legendary Hayden Fry before moving on to bigger and better things. Iowa has now won 17 straight at Kinnick, dating back to 2002 when we coughed up a huge halftime lead to our cross state rivals, the Cyclones of Iowa State.

A note on that total. As of now the forcast for this area on Saturday is for light rain(continuing from Thursday PM) and temps in the low 40s, dropping to the mid 30s by the 2nd half. I can see a defensive struggle as well, IF defensive Coordinator Brett Bielema (another ex hawk player/grad assistant under Hayden Fry thats moved on to the coaching ranks) has his kids playing like they did BEFORE the trip to East Lansing...

A 3:30 PM kickoff at Kinnick is something new-- I'm used to all those 11 AM and 2:30 PM ones...guess it just means another hour to pour booze down my throat.....
Enjoy your trip to CBus--haven't made that roadie since the mid-90s, thinking its about time to get back out there....

"the bunker"
2 things stick out to me here....one is iowa`s success at home.....the other is their absence of a running game...and wisky`s pass rush....

i saw that mich st ran for over 400 yards on wisky....didn`t pass for a heck of alot...

a little worried about that wisky def. end(name escapes me) and the fact that they can put serious pressure on the qb....while iowa has little to no running game to keep them honest.....

wisky will be in a foul mood here,imo...

just a thought...

g.l. with the play...

Irish, I think that Badger defense came in big headed and unaware of just how hot/good that MSU offense is. Watch Sparty and Utah and you will see a TON of similarities. Don't discount the fact that Alex Smith is passing some hunts to his uncle John L Smith. Kind of went off track there, but I guess I'm saying that I think the Badgers just ran into an offense that no one has been able to stop very well. I think they'll keep Iowa in check, but I also respect Iowa's defense too much to think that the Wisci offense will do much against them. You must have a top notch passing game to put points up on Iowa and Wisci simply doesn't have it.

Thanks for the heads up on the weather redsfan, makes me like the under even more.

I rarely ever tease college football, but I really like the looks of this one for 1 unit to win 5:

Iowa +3
Iowa Under 45
Michigan even
Ohio State +11'
Michigan over 38

The Trees +24' 5x - as a general rule I love points in rivalry games and this is no exception. Cal has yet to cover at home this year and they have not been playing stellar football the last couple weeks. Stanford played USC to a standstill and should be able to keep it within three TD's whether Edwards plays or not. If Edwards starts I may actually put a unit on the money line (if offered). The key will be stopping Arrington and I think the Stanford front will be able to slow him down.

Michigan-OSU over 44' 6x - was just waiting to see what the weather would bring. Looks like 60's with very light winds and some possible intermittent showers (40%). No worries there. Take one balanced, steady offense. Add in an offense with enough speed and trickery to move the ball. Mix in a lights out kicker, two overrated defenses and 100,000 rednecks, and you have a recipe for 28-26 Michigan.
