inside your head
guess I'll get it started this week Pep....

NE/MIA

'dead' line of 3 in this divisional match-up. mia should be up for this game as it seemed obvious they were looking ahead to it while on west coast. put a gun to my head and I'd take Mia. otherwise pass

SF/PHI

need to look at more, but can not ignore Philly and their amazing road record. getting points to boot. possible play on PHI or possible (super)teaser selection.

OAK/TEN

tenn + the points looks awful tempting here. was my initial selection for play of week, but seeing some of todays line moves may have some stronger plays out there. I see this game being decided by a FG either way. Tenn would like nothing more then to play spoiler here and Oak gotta have their arch nemesis Denver in the back of their minds....

TB/NO

need to study more, but possible small play on NO in the classic play MNF loser scenario. TB inabilty to score doesn;t hurt the cause either.

STL/CAR

public will be all over STL. a win gives them the perfect road record this season. would be a good spot for Car who has historically had STL number, however they suck bawls this year. most likely a pass.

KC/SD

pass, pass and pass again.

NYG/SEA

Giants are without a doubt looking ahead to Philly next week. If Sea could play a lick on the road they would be a great spot here, but since they can not, most likely a pass.

ATL/BUF

some of my sharp guys like Atl here. Just saw another post showing strong trend to play Atl here. probably is the right side but will not play this game because ther are other better plays out there imo. besides, favs don't fit in to well in the dog pound

CHI/WAS

guess who I like here?? seems others do as well as this line is now a pick em. kicking myself for not playing when I first saw line of +2.5, but work.holidays.... yeah yeah. still like them at a pick, especially after CHI manhandled TB as they did....actually shocked at the line move because of this. usually the 'public' would be all over CHI here...then again BG concensus is all over them
wink.gif
that alone makes me like WAS more

BAL/CIN

10.5 points looks enticing, but of all big spread games this week, I can see this one being covered by the fav. without further ado, pass.

GB/CLE

does GB really deserve to be greater then a td favorite over anyone?? I don't think so. Spoiler browns and there D should keep this one close, if not allow for an upset here. If I can get 7.5 from one of my locals tomorrow, I'm gonna pound it (another one I am kicking myself for not playing at 8.5)

PIT/DET

My heart tells me Detroit who has lost by an average of 4 points is the play here. My brain is telling me - how can they score against this D? gonna let these organs battle it out for a bit before making any choices here. If a play on Det, will be small.

ARI/DAL

need to look more closely at. lean is to Ariz so most likely a pass as far as plays go.

MIN/JAX

Is there any more of a Home/Away Jeckyl/Hyde then Min? (maybe Sea a close second). I don't think I'd bet this game with Jack's money

IND/NYJ

my initial lean is to the Jets. Revenge, better team overall, playoff hopes still alive...., my posse of sharpies are divided on this one though and without further analysis, I am still up in the air. Luckily this game is SN so plenty of time to study and come up with a fadeable recomendation based on my less then par SNF/MNF picking

thank god, ECU/MAR game went over tonight. was shaping up to be an ugly start to this week until. Now as long as JT's 4-unit GS comes through.........

miami, fl.
at first glance, only detroit caught my eye. these teams are in different classes, but.....the stage is set for the cover and possible upset. everything is in place.

after some initial discussion in the match-up forum, the jets do look like a play. a soft defense and no running is the prescription.

and, since you brought it up: atlanta may be in the right spot as well.

everything else looks too iffy to me, although miami may be in a difficult spot once more, despite n.e.'s vanishing offense.

seattle was mentioned here as a terrible play away on grass, and the giants can't afford to look forward to anything. with their limited resources, they have to go all out for the win.

just like last week, this one doesn't look too cool, so i will lean on the superteaser. later on that.

all in all, more passes than picks.

NE/MIA

I guess I'm one of the few who will be playing this game. I like Miami getting points in this one as they usually finish the season strong...until the playoffs start that is.

SF/PHI

Initially, I would jump on SF here, but with Garcia's status questionable, I'll stay away.

OAK/TEN

Raiders are looking to the post-season already as evidenced by their squeaker against the Bolts. I'll take the Titans in a teaser on this one.

TB/NO

Saints as a +9 teaser play

STL/CAR

Possible first half play on Rams -6...or just maybe Panthers ML.

KC/SD

Go Chiefs!

NYG/SEA

pass

ATL/BUF

pass

CHI/WAS

da Bears...stuff the run...win da game

BAL/CIN

I'll take Takeo and the Tigers with the points.

GB/CLE

Browns are my play of the day. Farve will be harrassed into some bad plays. Will play them +8 and teased +14

PIT/DET

Now this is the perfect spot for a Pitt letdown, not last week. Lions should get just enough for Lions to cover the spread.

ARI/DAL

2 inconsistent teams = pass

MIN/JAX

pass...unless Bouman is 100%, then Minny

IND/NYJ

Jets big time! A statement game.
