5 Plays in total for today:
NY Jets +2.5 over NE Patriots (8 Units)
A rather large play on the Jets here, as the Patriots just should not be favored. This reminds me of the line for NE-Denver, where it seemed the line makers ignored the vast amount of injuries for the Patriots and it is being done here too. The Patriots will play without their top 2 wide receivers and their third receiver (Lafell) has been injured in each of the last 2 games. The Patriots are also missing their top 2 running backs and half their starting secondary. The Patriots are not playing for nearly as much as the Jets, as the Pats can win next week against Miami and still seal the #1 seed overall. For the Jets, this is the playoffs, and they have strong receivers in Decker and Marshall, along with a decent but not great running game. Jets win this game straight up.
Carolina OVER 27 points (8 Units)
Another large play as Atlanta is a poor team right now, even at home. Carolina will score on offense, they will score on defense as there little chance that Cam Newton is stopped by the spotty Falcons defense and on the other side, I look for Matt Ryan to throw at least 2 interceptions today. Carolina has scored at least 27 points in all of the last 12 games they have played.
Jacksonville / New Orleans OVER 53 points (4 Units)
As long as Brees stays on the field, there is no reason to think this should not be a very high scoring game. New Orleans has a horrendous defense overall and Jacksonville can not stop the pass.
2 Other plays:
St Louis +12 over Seattle (3 Units)
San Francisco +9 over Detroit (3 Units)
