Plummer didn't look good in his debut with the Broncos throwing 3 INTs and 0 TDs against the Bengals. Denver's DL is not very strong with the exception of Pryce so I expect Tomlinson to fare much better than the 34 yards he had against KC. Brees played pretty well in Week 1 and I think he can exploit the Broncos' secondary. The Broncos have 2 2nd year players and 1st year starters in CB Walls and their FS Brandon. Home team has won the L5 meetings and I like SD to get the win at home. Just hoping they can contain Portis somewhat and I expect Plummer to make a few mistakes as he has always been prone to do.
New England +5 -108, 2 units
Eagles' defensive line is getting very thin as Burgess is out for the season, McDougle not expected back for a couple of weeks, and Whiting is doubtful this Sunday. Their CB Taylor is also listed as doubtful which may pose another problem. The Eagles' may have difficulty getting pressure on Brady without their better DEs healthy and their secondary may be thin without Taylor and New England likes to go to a lot of multiple receiver sets which could mean some good matchups. Brown, Patten, and Branch are solid WRs and Givens has shown some ability as well. The Pats also have a good receiving RB in Faulk and two TEs in Graham and Fauria that can catch some passes. I think NE could win this game outright so will take the points.
