GL Chenker, these look solid. I especially like Miss St, BYU, and Washington. I started out my year with a clean sweep, 0-3, so I too have a little catching up to do but it is early.

adding Penn State - 12 1/2 - 330/300

well I know this team better than any team in college foots. I know some people in Sate College that are close to the team. This team is going to be a national contender even though they have to play at the Shoe and the Big House. The public perception of this team should help us early in the year. Most of the public sees that they have a lot of returning starters so they should have a better year but I think people still feel that Penn State is not a powerhouse liked they use to be. Well their offensive line will dominate the line of scrimmage in most of their games and the "new" spread/option offense will be mixed with old power football to keep defenses guessing. They will be able to pound the ball with Johnson, run the option with Mills, and throw when they need to a group of capable receivers. Their defense will be a force especially against the run with two studs on the D line, The loss of the safety and their back up will hurt a little bit but they should be fine. Special teams will be good with a great kicker back from last year. Mills has had time to learn the new offense and Joe Pa is finally ready to change with the times and adapt their offensive style to today's football. Players spent the summer together training in State College and they are on a mission to win the Big 10, nothing less will be accepted. Players also feel that they owe it to Joe Pa to make ammends for two sub par seasons. The renovations to Beaver Stadium are complete and their home field advantage is going to be huge with two enclosed double deck end zones, they also upgraded all of their practice facilities and weight rooms last year. The only thing that will stop them from competing for a Big 10 title are injuries to Mills, Jonson, Adams, or Kennedy....

Central Florida should have a decent squad and a good offense but their defense will not be able to stop the lions. Penn State should score at least 35 in this opener.

I waited a little to play this game because I thought (still think) the line might come down a little but I decided 12 1/2 was a good number.

Penn State has a bye the following week so they should go all out for this game and should not be looking ahead to Nebraska in two weeks.

If Penn State does not dominate the Golden Knights I will be surprised, so sit back and watch the Lions get an easy W on Saturday on ESPN to start the season.

any thoughts on these totals.....

all these look like they can go over, appreciate any feedback/thoughts?

Col/Col St 54- both teams should be able to score.

Wisc/UNLV 54- not impressed with Wisky's D

Gergia/Clemson 53- both should score?

PSU/UCF 51 1/2- Penn State will get at least 35 points in this one...

adding one total for now, really like the over in UNLV/WisKY also...

Under 57 1/2 Northwestern/Air Force- 330/300

don't let these teams past fool you. They both have nothing in the cupboard on offense. Both breaking in new QB's and both should keep the ball on the ground. Reports out of Evanston said that the Defense dominated the offense throughout the Spring and summer.

Have a great labor day weekend:D :drinky: kurby

Not sure about the Wisky total as I was hoping it was going to be around 48-50. I still like the over and may play it. Think Bollinger will be more in sync with his WR's after getting their 1st game in. Also think the Badger D got a nice break when WR Berrian left the game which helped them hold Fresno to a low score. Also UNLV will be w/o 2 starters on their front 7 , LB Ryan Claridge and DE Trevan Sorensen. My main concern is the UNLV offense. I know many are expecting J. Thomas and the offense to play much better this year than last, but until I actually see them play I can never know for sure. Although I know injuries were one reason why he did not play as well as expected last year. Will probably be a small play for me w/ the total at 54, GL this weekend.
