Hi - first time putting picks in, and what better way to start than some football.
2* Montreal -2.5 -115
2* Calgary +1.5
2* Saskatchewan -7 +100
(Friday) This will be Winnipeg's first road trip of the season, and Montreal will be at home for the second week straight. This has my numbers having the Alouettes as the value play here. It's still early in the season so we still aren't for sure what each team really has, but I have to trust my numbers. Tom Higgins has typically been a good home field coach going 49-21 SU, and this will be Oshea's first road trip has a general. We're laying a small number here, and you may actually get a better one has the game gets closer to Friday.
(Saturday) I like the by week angle I have with Calgary in this matchup this week. It's something that we'll be able to look at every week as the season goes on. The Argo's absolutely smashed the Roguhriders last week, and that may cause a bit of over confidence. While the Stamps were able to stay home and watch the beat down taking notes. Hufnagle has been a decent road dog coach going 20-10 ATS. The numbers while not as strong as Montreal do support a play here.
NOTE: I'm just going to stop saying my numbers at this point. I do create my own lines, and make plays off of those. So I won't continue to refer back to them every time I happen to do a little talk about the games.
(Saturday) I must comeback with the Roughriders here after the embarrassing loss at Toronto on Saturday. The British Columbia QB play has been pretty bad, and Saskatchewan's defense while it didn't show up last week is considered to be better than last year's Grey Cup Championship team's. Benevides has yet to figure out the road troubles in his short tenure at BC going 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS as road dogs.
No line out yet again on Ottawa, and I may be back with that one has I tend to play almost every game for the first several weeks of the season.
