Stuck on a couple things....you guys have been great this season!! Thanks for the help!!

This league is PPR and you get points for "return yards".

WR.......3 positions open. Have 4 to choose from.....Dez Bryant/Percy Harvin/Greg Jennings/Danny Amendola.

My thoughts.....Playing the "waiting game" for Bryant for a big game! Could happen vs Tampa at home! Have to start Harvin due to return yards, but going again SF is gonna be tough. How effective is Jennings going to be after missing a game?? I think he'll get some targets. And....Amendola....gotta ride the hot hand!!! Many are saying he could seriously get 90+ balls this season!!!

Thoughts!!!??

Percy is a given so I won't even address him. Amendola this week is different than last week as he won't be sneaking up on anybody and going against a much tougher defense on the road. With last years Pro Bowl starter Tillman at one corner and the early season leader in picks Jennings on the other side, they will not fool the Bears who are coming off an embarrassment. Jennings is a number one with a big play team and a passing team. I like him here.

Dez is a question mark. Seeing a lot of sniping here is Dallas and lots of questions from the media and fans as to why Dez is even on the field. His practice and play have been lackluster and many are saying that Garrett is getting sick of it but forced to play Dez because Jerry drafted him. So the question is do you play Danny or Dez.........you have anyone you can pick up? I am not fond of either one this week but on a neutral field would definitely go with Danny. So I would go with the better player with the better attitude.

On a side note, if Dez does happen to blow up prior to week 5, trade him for the best you can get. Look to secure a Malcolm Floyd or maybe a nicked up Maclin if you can. Dez is going to be nothing but heartache this year. If a player has three bad weeks in a row, he will have at least three more probably three more times this year. I look for him to be a very poor player this year. I had several opportunities to draft him and didn't. Then again, I also think that the Saints will miss the playoffs and said that prior to the start of the season. Also, take a look at Hartline if you need a ppr monster with return yards.

I actually have Malcolm Floyd on the bench also....wasn't really considering him. Do you suggest him over Dez this week???

So, Jennings/Harvin/Floyd??

without a doubt I would sit Bryant. More I have looked into it the stronger I feel that Dez's days in Dallas will be much more short lived than some may think. This is pure speculation on my part, but from everything I am seeing, it would not surprise me.

Seriously, take a look at some of the facts and you tell me. Dez was close to becoming a top tier receiver, not elite like Megatron, but certainly close to a Jennings, Nicks, Green, etc... on the strength of his finish last season and his physical abilities and size. He was a highly praised receiver who, along with Laurent Robinson, had basically squeezed out a very talented Miles Austin during a six game stretch to end the season. He flew up the rankings and Robinson got some suckers to pay him because of it.
This pre-season he was horrible. Either hurt or not playing and practicing, slow footed and running incorrect routes on pre-season plays for chrissakes. Opening day he ran two bad routes at crucial times and has not really been a factor in either of the two games played. This isn't a fluke either. Take a look around the game brother. Good, especially really good (even the ones that are young) players rarely flop 2 games in a row to start a season after a very poor pre-season. All the players that were and are supposed to perform rarely turn in the kind of efforts we are seeing from him and a couple other players that I believe it is absolutely time to sell on. Chris Johnson is done in football if he stays in Tennessee. He runs scared. Since he got hurt, he runs scared.
On the other side, look at players like AP he showed what good players are made of, they will themselves to good games sometimes. Hakeem Nicks comes to mind, he is still hurt but when his team needed him he gets 199 yards.
Trent Richardson, we all knew he was good, he did it.
No man, there is a reason that Dez is sucking, same reason as Welker, Turner and others fail while guys like LaFell, Smith, Amendola, and Floyd continue to impress. There is a mental edge required to play the game as well as an incredible amount of mental and physical strength to even stay on the field, let alone excel. Those that have something to prove, are superior in their preparation and toughness, put in the work and see it start to be successful will build on their early game success. Those that have seen their roles reduced and no longer have the mental edge to accept, overcome and eventually dispel the negative press when this happens fade away very quickly. Others that have the right "stuff" make comebacks a game later. Watch the signs brother, you can see them. If Dez does go off, he will have to do it very early in the game this week. He does not have the mental capabilities to keep his head in the game for sixty minutes unless Romo looks specifically for him. Unfortunately for you, I don't think that will happen, I think Dez is a lazy and stupid football player. That's the worst of the worst when a talented player underwhelms, the negative press is too much for them and they always fail.

For instance, my eyes are currently on Colston. I need to see something out of him pretty quick. I have made it pretty clear that I don't think the Saints will win more than 8 games this year because their staff was gutted. They are also getting lazy. They are trying to win games with 2010's playbook. I still think Colston has a tremendous skill set but he needs to do something.
Perfect example of what I am talking about, Vincent Jackson. He somewhat surprised people with his performance last week. He is just good, period. Garcon, Marshall, Reggie, etc... some guys on the up I would look to get for Dez are Denarius Moore from pass happy Oakland. Hartline from Miami is vastly underrated as is his QB Tannenhill, who has made Hartline his favorite target. Try to pry someone off LaFell if you can.

Sorry for such a long write up. I will put my cell number in your reputation points area so you can give me a call sometime if you want to talk fantasy or whatever brother. Always up for some ffl discussions.

Hope that helps,
FDC

You might have decision made for u . Jennings is not looking good to play again.

Is that local news? Fantasy sites say he's a go.....sat out Thursday practice for rest, but said he'll be in there Monday.

Don't feel real good about starting a guy who hardly practiced this week.

UPDATE: Packers WR Greg Jennings was actually limited in practice Friday

</aside>Update: Contrary to what was written earlier below, Jennings was actually "limited" during Friday's practice. His status for Monday's game remains uncertain. He also said he will "push through" his groin injury to play versus Seattle. Because you can always trust what an injured player says about his own chances of suiting up.
---------------------------------------

It's been nothing but depressing news for Greg Jennings ever since he practiced Tuesday. It appears that Jennings suffered a setback with his groin injury that forced him to miss practice on Thursday, and it was the same story on Friday. The Packers will hold their final practice of the week tomorrow and will play Monday night in Seattle.

Fantasy Analysis:
At best, Jennings looks like a game-time call. Even if he plays, you probably can't afford to wait that long, so take the safe route, and put him on your bench. If it makes you feel any better, I don't think he's going to play anyway, but you don't want to be stuck with a zero from Jennings if you waited on him and have no available options to replace him come Monday night. I liked Randall Cobb more than James Jones last week, but if you are looking to sub in one of those two guys, I think I'm going to change my mind for this week, mostly because Cobb has been limited this week due to a hamstring injury. He should still play Monday, but I'm not sure if he'll see his usual amount of snaps. Again, why take on the risk when you don't have to?

Hi Folks,

Good news for Packers WR Greg Jennings. His outlook had been looking a little negative earlier in the week but he had a good practice Saturday and it's looking more encouraging for Monday night.

Link: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/170839691.html

Clipped from the Journal Sentinel article by Tom Silverstein: "There didn't seem to be any limitations on WR Greg Jennings during Saturday's practice inside the Don Hutson Center.

"During the six periods the media was allowed to watch, Jennings took part in everything, including the 2-minute drill, where he caught several passes from QB Aaron Rodgers.

"Afterward, coach Mike McCarthy said, "Greg looked good today. He made a big jump. He practiced well.""

[[[[[[[ OUR VIEW ]]]]]]]]]

McCarthy said that how Jennings was looking Sunday would be the determining factor. The trouble is that it's very likely we won't have that word prior to the 1 pm kickoffs. So it's really a dice roll that is dependent on your roster and your playing style. If you want to go conservative and have solid players behind Jennings, the safe route is to go with the players you're certain will play. If you don't have much on your bench and you're playing aggressively, it's probably worth a dice roll to go with Jennings. Just understand there's a risk there.

The main thing though is that it's looking more encouraging for Jennings. If I had to put a percentage on it, I'd say it's 75% chance that Jennings starts Monday night. Have a great Saturday.

I hate that MF!!!!! Giving him one more chance this week on prime time!! Gotta do it....Amendola faces Seattle.

I hope Dez does well, so I can TRADE HIM!!!!!

I would be all over Amendola at home Hudson. I am hoping you get your wish, I really am, but it won't happen against that defense of Chicago. I actually like Amendola this week. The Seahawks are not half the team on the road defensively and they just won one of the biggest games in their recent history. I like Amendola better at home as well.

I really like Amendola this week. I am off Bryant and have been all year. I read an article this morning that one of the other receivers said that Dez only knows two plays. I don't like to talk about people I don't know but he is a very dumb player. I like Danny a lot.

Dez Bryant 25

Danny Amendola 17

hard to figure

tuff choices every week..

but it's fun..

I know Dez got the better of him here but I still think Dola was the play. Dez had a lousy game but Romo continued to feed him the ball between the 20's but anytime the Cowboys got in the redzone the ball always went to Austin or Witten. Dez will have another 4 point week next week too.
