I love this quote by LB Julian Peterson of the San Francisco 49ers to ?guarantee? a victory against visiting Dallas this weekend? ?You say I guaranteed it, yes,? Peterson told the San Francisco Chronicle. ?I think we?re going to play well. I?m positive we?re going to win, to be honest. We?re going to go out there to win, or they?re coming out here to lose.? This is bulletin-board material to be sure, especially after Dallas's late fourth-quarter meltdown that resulted in a loss to the long-time archrival the Washington Redskins. As if head coach Bill Parcells didn?t have enough to use as motivation for his Cowboys.
I expect Jones to run down there throats this week and Bledsoe to expose the secondary that gave up 583 yards to the Eagles last week.
COWBOYS -6.5 WIN BIG HERE.

This week Coach Gruden put the signs up as a reminder we can win, too. Not so much what we haven't done, but we did win in 1989. That's the attitude of this football team that we can go up there and win.

After all, the Bucs did finally win a game at Soldier Field in Chicago. They did finally win a game with the temperature below 40 degrees. They did finally win a road game in December. They did finally win a game on the West Coast.

Losing at Lambeau is one of their few remaining stigmas.

"I'm tired of breaking these negative trends around here," Gruden said, "but that's what we're up against."

After debating this game all week, I concluded that if there were a year that this trend falls this is the time.

TAMPA BAY -2.5

I find it odd that Miami is only getting 3 points. It's long been established that Denver can't play in the heat, and the Jets showed the Dolphins how far they need to go to be good. I see no good reason why the Dolphins should win this game. In fact, i'm betting huge on Carolina.

Damn, i hope my team loses.

Last week the Jets/Dolphins were close on the yardage, but what I saw that killed Miami was 3rd down conversions by NYJ in key times that lead to their scores. The Dolphins can't allow that repeat against NC.

I agree, the heat is Miami's freind and are used to it, however its been hot lately in Charlotte, even if its a different type of sticky humidity that they will be dealing with in the FLA sun.

Gus can't bust. In their season-opening he smoked the the visiting Denver Broncos, But last week he looked putrid completing 20 of 43 passes while struggling to a quarterback rating of 56.1 - or more than 40 points lower than in the game against Denver.
That says it for me. Now he faces a tough Panthers DE that should give Gus fits on Sunday. Maimi DE will hold its own for awhile and keep it close, In the end NC will prevail.
CAROLINA -3

Monday Nite

Monday Nite

Denver -2.5

I'm going with home team with this matchup, even if KC is the better team, it does'nt matter with these 2 teams, Home field is an advantage in Denver.
