2-2 last week, Toronto had 4 turnovers or they would have easily won against Arizona. Got 1 play for Friday.

YTD 2-2 -0.2 units

Chicago at Tampa Bay
Rush took it to GR last week w/o Joe Douglass who is lost for the season, but they found a new sparkplug, rookie Antonio Chatman. Chatman has 4.2 speed and should blow by the Storm DBs. The Rush have been winning with defense, putting pressure on the QB and forcing TOs.

Storm are injured and lost. Their defense can't pass rush, their OL can't pass protect, they can't make defensive stops and they will be without 2 starters for this game.

Rush gained a lot of respect last week by knocking out Grand Rapids and know that winning on the road is a must in order to be considered an elite team.

Pick: Chicago +3.5

All 3 losses I have this year have been by teams that turn the ball over a ton on that particular game. See if that trend can be bucked. 3 plays for today.

Orlando at Grand Rapids
At the beginning of the year, this would be a game to look forward to, but not now. Both teams have fell short of expectations and they are really banged up. GR has lost 2 starting WRs, Michael Baker and Ricky Ross, plus some defensive injuries. Orlando will be without key OS Siaha Burley and C Fred Ray, Preds also have other injuries on offense and defense. These are really 2 banged up teams and injuries to the OL mean that there will be a lot of pressure on the QBs. The Under looks very inviting here sitting at 101.5

Pick: Orl/GR Under 101.5

Carolina at New Jersey

A little revenge is a subplot to this game as 2 former Gladiators return. QB Connell Mayor and DS Kevin Gaines were dumped last year in the NJ house cleaning. Cobras have looked more in control since Mayor took over and he loves his offensive targets. NJ's games have been decided by a total of 4 points and they've committed an insane amount of penalties. With NJ's flair for the dramatic and Mayor's return, I like Carolina to win this one.

Pick: Carolina +3

Los Angeles at San Jose

Avengers are a much improved team than when they faced SJ last year and still beat them. SJ is an elite team, but they simply make a lot of defensive mistakes, whether it is penalties or missed coverages, they do just enough to let the opponent hang around, which is why they have trouble covering large spreads, the defensive scheme won't allow it. Now that LA has a decent QB and is healthy, they can really give the Sabercats a game. They put good pressure on the QB and play sound defense. 8 is a ton to spot here.

Pick: Los Angeles +8

I think it's great that you take the time to come out here and do this. Like a lot of people, I'm not into Arena real a whole lot. I like it, but haven't watched much since a season three or four years ago when there was an AFL game on ESPN every late night Saturday.

Anyway, I would be interested in getting into it again if I knew when and where I could AFL games on a regular basis. Can you help? thanks.

nighthorse, if you have a satellite dish, you can catch a lot of AFL games on the Fox Sports Net/Regional Sports channels. I think most AFL teams will televise most home games. If you don't have one, I think TNN will be doing a "game of week" type thing starting in Week 8, Sunday afternoon game.

wigs, Thanks for the info
