and now for an accounting update:
just in case anyone has paid attention to my posts, i just wanted to point out that my units won has doubled since my last post on this forum. this is not to misrepresent what i have won in college football. rather, i have begun to post NFL picks on that forum, but i am less comfortable w/ the NFL, so my units were half of what they are in NCAA FB. so for the sake of consistency, i have updated my NCAA standing to match that of my NFL picks.

i will be back to update my play when i lock it in, but it will be Louisville +pts.

thanks for the wishes Corley.

i am having a tough time picking a side tonight. tonight's game should reveal a lot about the WV team's heart and character. remember, this is a team that has been in the NC talk for 3 years in a row now, but that has already gone out the window. Bill Stewart has a tough task of keeping this team motivated.

i like Coach Hawkins w/ the Buffs a lot. the atmosphere should be great in Boulder tonight. i would love to play them, but the past 3 prime-time week night doggies have all covered w/ 2 winning outright. i can't shake the feeling that WVU bucks that trend tonight. i have no play tonight, but i am leaning towards WVU right now.

i've wrestled w/ myself about this game all day. i like Colorado's coaching better. i have questions about WVU's motivation level. i don't think the 'Neer offense is as dynamic as it has been the last several years. they miss Owen Schmidt more than people realize.

i eventually realized the only reason i was even thinking about West Va. was I didn't believe Vegas would let 4 straight prime time weeknight dogs cover.

then a buddy of mine (who i don't respect much as a capper) called me as he got off work to tell me how much he LOVES west virginia tonight.

that's all i needed.

haven't pulled the trigger on any plays for tomorrow yet, but i will be playing these:

Va Tech (+3.5)
Tulsa (-10)
Mich St. (-8.5)

UNC, New Mexico, and ND each won outright as dogs last week. i believe that in each of these spots i am getting some value in the line.

Wake (+4.5) and ML (+165)
FSU hasn't played a team this year that can punch back. Riley Skinner is a veteran QB and shouldn't be phased by the FSU crowd. Wake is most comfortable as a dog; i'll take the best-coached team in the nation getting points and on the ML as well.

also considering:

Miami ML (-150)
Ball St. (+3)
Utah (-9.5)

i have seen several lines move a little bit my way, so i am waiting for the optimum prices. i will be back to confirm all plays i make.

just noticed Va Tech/UNC has already kicked off. my biggest play of the weekend was going to be Va Tech +3.5. not sure how this happened, but i thought kickoff was meant for 6:30 tonight. i will be very interested in what happens, and either thanking my lucky stars or kicking the sh*t out of myself...

not too comfortable about Wake. wish they would have put FSU away by now.

still, lot of points left on the board in that first half. if Wake's D keeps FSU in check in the 2nd half, i really like this play:
