went 9-2 last week...trying to keep the momentum going.
Picks for the week:
Ole Miss -3(bought .5)...Carolina isnt usually a push over at home and they have a pretty good Thurs. night record as well. However, they had tons of problems stopping UGA and FAU(1st half). I just think Snead and Co. will be too much offense.
Missouri -6.5(bought .5)...Watched the Mizzou-Illinois and Nevada-ND games and even though it was the 1st week it told me all I needed to know. If you get shutout by that ND defense then you are in trouble.
Over 61.5 Cincy/Fresno St...it will take an earthquake for these 2 teams to not put up at least 30 points each.
Kansas -13.5...So Miss struggled with a very very bad UVA team and now has to go to Kansas with a very hot QB in Reesing. I expect lots of points from Kansas this week and a cover.
Wake-PK...Witnessed the BC-Clemson game last week personally and BC is just god awful. Didnt cross midfield until the 3rd quarter and racked up like -4 yards for the first half. They scored only because of a busted coverage. Clemson was held to 6 yes SIX field goals and still managed to beat them 25-7. Wake is battle tested playing two decent OOC games against Stanford and Baylor. Riley Skinner is a veteran QB and Jim Grobe is one of the best coaches in America. I like Wake on the road here, its not like BC is a hostile enviroment.
Pitt +1... NCSU only scored 3 points at home versus USC in the opener and Russell Wilson just hasnt looked like the Russell Wilson of last year. I think Pitt is the better team here and will come into Raleigh and get the W.
Miami -2.5-BIG PLAY HERE. Had a chance to watch both teams play twice now and I dont see any reason not to load up on Miami here. Yes, I've been to Blacksburg before and yes I know Beamer is good at home. But answer this question: How is VT gonna score?? Give Miami the ball down in the red zone as many times as they did Nebraska and its gonna be a long day.
And as usual the homecookin pick...
Clemson-2.5...not sold on this years TCU team yet. Gonna be very low scoring, I just think Clemson's defense/special teams is gonna be too much. Clemson by 6.
