YTD 3-5 -2.5 units

Still getting a feel for some teams, but let's rock n roll this week with some winning picks. 2 plays for Friday

San Jose at Orlando
Sabercats are the highest scoring team in the league, their average scoring drive last week lasted only 1:30 so not only do they get a lot of possessions, so do their opponents. Both teams feature good return games and Jay Gruden is coming around despite some injuries to the offense.

Pick: SJ/Orl Over 102.5

Tampa Bay at Los Angeles

Avengers quit last week after a 3rd quarter fumble because they could not stop San Jose, well they couldn't score a whole lot either. Chris Jackson will miss his 2nd straight game and he is the go-to guy for Graziani and he will determine how far this team goes. Tampa mauled Chicago last week and Shane Stafford is more comfortable in the offense, TB is getting healthier and are still in a panic situation, going 1-4 spells real disaster.

Pick: Tampa Bay +1.5

1-1 yesterday, Tampa was tied in the 4th w/ LA then just imploded.

Indiana at Detroit
Both teams are in desperate need of a win tonight, however the Firebirds have the guys to do it. The Fury are a mess after losing OS Robert Gordon for the season and cutting QB Ricky Foggie, now they rely on rookie QB Drew Miller, who's making his 1st start. I don't see Indy struggling for much longer, they made some changes to the offense this week and still have staples Raymond Philyaw and Eddie Brown.

Pick: Indiana -2

New York at New Jersey

One thing about New Jersey, they play ugly win or lose. They scored just once in the 2nd half last week. Gladiator defense has played undisciplined and the offense has not picked up the slack. Dragons need a win badly and even though they aren't the best defensive team, they've found a QB in Matt Nagy. Steve Papin is still the most dangerous player in the AFL. Given NJ's inability to score, catching more than a field goal is enticing.

Pick: New York +3.5

Georgia at Chicago

Rush have found a groove offensively scoring 124 points the past 2 weeks and Georgia doesn't have the defense to contain them. No team has sacked Billy Dicken yet and the addition of James Baron to the OL and DL has helped immensely. The Force will welcome OS Tyronne Jones back to the team, but the defensive defiencies on this team are glaring.

Pick: Chicago -1

Arizona at Dallas

Rattlers are on a great roll winning 3 straight and HC Danny White returns to Dallas where he starred as a player for the Cowboys. Dallas still makes a ton of rookie mistakes on defense and QB Bonner should take advantage of that all night long. They look like the 2nd best team in the American Conference

Pick: Arizona +1
