SMU +19.5 1unit

Two teams, two cities next to each other and it means a lot more to SMU than it does to TCU. Patterson has stated that he wants his team to run the ball more. IMO Boykin is not a good QB and when teams make him pass TCU ends up in trouble. SMU does play the run well. SMU has played(covered) well in the Jones era vs TCU. I know TCU has had a bye week but with OU on tap I'm hoping they'll just be going thru the motions. Also, TCU not good as of late vs the line at home.

Joe, I read some quotes from Patterson and it made me like my play even more. He was talking about the teams play in one area, offensive line or something like that and he said "you can't do that vs OU." I know I might be reading too much into it but you would think he would be talking about things that matter with SMU and not the week after. It made me think he was looking past this game.

I do think you see your team resting key players more than normal. I'll call a very lopsided 17 point game.

Not really looking past, but he has no respect for SMU. He's shown that he doesn't necessarily care about non-conference games. I could see him playing young players in this game to send a message to older players not performing up to standards.

Oh and Fields is probably not playing. The team is not releasing any info but rumors are his foot is broken.

Joe, what the hell happened in the TCU game. I had to go to my kids soccer games, thought I was good but got back and saw the 4th qtr. That one hurt. I really thought it was solid.
